Found a sketch from 2 years ago so I decided updated Kate Howard's design from my high school (color guard) AU!
It's kinda like how her designs change throughout the years (freshman year ->junior/senior year & also flag->rifle/saber) but when I start working on this AU I'll probably use the hair styles interchangeably

I'm so tired of how female characters' sexuality constantly gets politicised. People can so easily headcanon male characters as sex-crazed, kinky, and promiscuous and no one bats an eye, but the moment a woman has an insatiable sex drive (or God forbid, more than one lover) the moral police rise up from the trenches to write condescending thinkpieces about how we're 'reducing' her, 'oversexualising' her, 'flattening' her depth as a character as if depth and sexuality are mutually exclusive.
I really envy fans of male characters sometimes because it's always women who get dissected like this. Men can be hypersexual and still clever, competent, powerful, but when it's a woman suddenly it's 'oversexualisation' to imagine her as erotic and feminist to scrub her of anything messy or carnal. What kind of liberation is that? Not one I'd ever want. People want female characters to be powerful but not too powerful, sexy but not too sexy, flawed but only in ways that aren't threatening.

Uh, any explaination as to why I vanished? No, not really - other than life is really difficult and annoying? But, that's totes lame so, I was shadow boxing a fake version of myself in a Hunger Games themed arena with God as my witness. Yes.
Some of my headcanons for the Queens have changed - as do things with time, so here's some!
The second half of the Queens don't like physical touch. Not without initating the contact themselves, at least.
Jane and Kat are the gossipers (yes), the two are totally nosy when it isn't problematic. Anne occasionally joins in (but she likes keeping things to herself to watch them play out).
Cathy is still a passionate debater - she just can't let that part of her go! She's a little wiser with her word choice now (perhaps a part of her is worried she'll get beheaded for breathing wrong), but, boy does she have well known opinions.
Anne had trouble performing at first - while Kat shone in the spotlight, Anne tried to ignore it. Catalina and Jane noticed it first, so they stuck around a little closer for moral support. That trio, in general, are tighter knit than the rest of them. The history does not fade, but time heals.
There was this one brilliant fanfic I read somewhere and it characterized Anna with anxiety. It is my favorite headcanon that you could only dare to pry out of my cold. dead. hands. ("One is the Loneliest Number" by vaguelyominouscoconuts on AO3 - thank you Rionx for commenting with the fic!)
I had a doodle I scrapped of Kat and Anna, where Kat had a sock puppet and was trying to make her laugh. It is my hill now that those two love making stupid shit together to remind the other they are loved. <3
