Yeah! I needed a long break from it, but I’m hoping I can get working on the next chapter later this year. A big project like that demands ALL of your work and attention, for years, and I was starting to feel like I was stagnating artistically. I’m learning lots about making comics & the type of art I want to make during my time away from it! I started it 6 years ago, and I’ve changed a lot since then. But I’d like to see it through—the final three chapters will be shorter and I really love the way the story ends! So, YES! ♥️

Update on the hiatus! ^

I’ve decided to cancel the Godflesh Patreon (for the time being).

It was causing me a lot of unnecessary stress; forgetting to pause it each month (since Patreon is stupid and doesn’t allow you to pause indefinitely), and I don’t want to keep accidentally charging and refunding people.

This does NOT mean Godflesh is cancelled, just that it’s on hold for now. I want to make other projects. I’ll come back to Godflesh when I have the passion and time for it again. I’m still fiddling with the story to make it the best it can be. I really would like to tell the whole thing, because the ending is really special, I think. It’s worth the work. However, I need some unquantified time away from it. I want to put it in the closet without the stress of a deadline, and return to it when I’m ready.

Thanks for all of your support along the way, it’s really meant the world!! And thanks everyone for reading. I hope to bring you the rest of this story, in my own time. I hope you’ll come back then!

Godflesh- Situation Update:

Hey everyone!! It’s been a minute, so I thought I should give you an updated idea of when the comic will return.

When I finished Chapter 5, I said I was aiming to start working on Chapter 6 in September and posting publically in November. Well, neither of those happened. I’ve paused my Patreon for the time being. The comic is NOT dead—I’m not abandoning anything in the slightest! I just need more time away from it.

When I’m in the middle of a chapter, it takes up allll my spare time, and I make basically no money from it, and it has a very small readership, which means the only incentive I have is personal excitement for telling the story. Right now I’m struggling to have that, which has been the case between every chapter. I just need a longer break! I’m letting the next chapter percolate until it’s ready, which means probably another couple months. I promise the end result will be better for it!
