@godlikeschemer plotted for a starter!
Kurashi was nervous, and he knew he had no reason to be. He looked at himself in the mirror one more time. His kimono, complete with hakama, black haori and everything, looked somewhat out of place - or maybe it was just his imagination. Hell, he felt out of place. It wasnât because he didnât want today to come; it was because he was so eager, too eager for it to come that he was giddy with excitement.
Convincing the shrine to let them marry wasnât that difficult after all - provided theyâd rather do so in some private place rather than for all to see. Kurashi was fine with that. For the occasion, a beautiful pavilion-like tent was erected in Kurashiâs garden, and his own shrine worked splendidly as the altar. Right now, offerings, the three cups of sake and their wedding rings were already there; miko and the priest also took their positions, ready and waiting. The sun was shining beautifully through the leaves of the tree over the altar and Kurashi put on his geta and stepped outside, biting his lip shyly as he saw his husband-to-be waiting for him.
They agreed Izaya will take the role of the husband in the ceremony; drink the first and third cup first before giving it to Kurashi, and read their wedding vows from the scroll.Â
Kurashiâs smile turned bright and sweet as he walked to Izaya and they stood before the altar.Â
Everything was ready.Â
Ever since morning that day, Izaya could feel some nice, excited anticipation as he waited for the ceremony to come. There were no such feelings as wanting to run away or think about his decision too much, quite the contrary. The time just couldn't pass fast enough. He was looking forward to making Kurashi his in a completely new sense and he wanted it as soon as possible. Still, he knew he should be patient. And so he was.
When the time came and he was standing in front of the altar in the beautiful kimono he got from his partner, he had to try hard to contain his excitement and cover it all with a cool, relaxed expression. Still, once he saw his lover and how straight up beautiful he looked, he didn't push back a wide, happy smile that stretched over his face.
His look turned soft and uncharacteristically sweet when Kurashi stopped next to him and he gave him a gentle wink, already looking forward to the ceremony and the time he would spend with his husband after it.
"You look beautiful~," he whispered, wanting to see his adorable fiance flustered if he could achieve it.
