I guess I should probably put this disclaimer here like I did in my fic, huh? If it is not in the current Calamity build, whatever that may be, do not come into my notes and tell me about it. I don't want to be told about in-development or upcoming content; I want to experience it myself when it goes live. If I wanted to hear about stuff like that, I'd go into the Discord or whatever and poke around. I like to play updates and their changed/new content as they happen and don't want to be spoiled outside of things that I happen upon or decide to look for myself.

I am neither a "Yharim corrupted Yharon" truther, nor a "Yharon corrupted Yharim" believer. Rather, what I personally find deliciously compelling is the idea that two unbelievably traumatized people put into an impossible position against a status quo that would unmake them, and are sharing a single soul, are both fully capable of fucking each other up in a thousand irrevocable and insidious ways without ever meaning to.

The vocals section of the Hardmode interlude still punches me in the gut every time, btw. Running around in the immediate post-WoF chaos and hearing, "Oh, king..." slams the brakes on my brain without fail. Good shit.

The only bad thing about that track is that I hear it and then want the music box of it, so I skip several steps of Hardmode progression to get the Princess as quickly as possible. My towns are in shambles and no one's happy but at least I have one (1) Yhimsong to listen to.

Good shit. I didn't remark on it as it happened because I didn't feel the need to write an essay about something that happened and was dealt with in a matter of hours, but I am pleased that someone who was both a major asshole and impediment to the development to the mod as a whole is gone. We'll see where things go from here, but dropping an update that nuked the mod's creator off the face of it on the first day of Pride Month was an incredible move nonetheless, given the circumstances.
