A nod was given, and the monster goes up to one of them, taking it off the wall and looking at it.
They remember the time when they were first sent to Godhome. It was weird, hard to explain, but they can recall their faces, their masks, rather, staring at them with intrigue and acceptance. Then, a flash of white into a room unfamiliar to them to be kept, until their sibling arrived to fight them again, but in a conscious that wasn't their own. Twice, the first in their broken, infected state, and the next as their mangled, battered shell, more filled with rage than the last. It was an experience for sure, being absorbed willingly by the Dream Nail and then feeling, even seeing, what was going on regardless.
Ever since arriving to Hallownest to follow the desperate cries of their asended kin, they had more interest in roaming from their humble abode created for the ones freed from that nail, wanting to experiment with their ability to harness the dream magic that they now wield. They used it to put their distressed relative to sleep in a battle to calm them down, but...
Is it possible to bring back a fallen bug from a dream?
The Lost Kin had seen them, their black eyes with golden pupils, their beaks and wings, their claws similar to the one working on their task, all of that. Perhaps they could focus their magic on these masks and give each one a new life? Godhome was a dream in and of itself, so they surely had their own essence that can be used to summon their presence whenever someone wanted them to.
It would be too risky, and this Godseeker isn't from their path. They would certainly mess something up if they tried, using the other's appearance as a base or not. Besides, such magic isn't really known for reviving the dead, so it was most likely impossible to pull it off anyways.
In the end, they put the mask back up onto the wall, careful not to drop it. It could be fragile, but even if not, it should still be treated with respect.
A moment of reflection, before the speak again in their usual heavenly voice.
I wish I could help you, but I do not know if whatever magic I have can work...
All I can really do is give my condolences.
I'm sorry for whatever happened to your home, I truely am.
