Matthew Goode retelling how his lack of filter blew his chance to be Bond. In another interviews he said that he didn't even know he was being considered which is why he was brutally honest about his views on Bond. Hilarious human.

In from the Cold S1E8: Motherland.
I just finished In From the Cold. It's pretty classic Russian vs. American spy thriller stuff (affectionate), and it was so much fun and I loved it and now I'm probably going to spend next week watching it again. So A+, would highly recommend if spy thrillers are your thing.
The (female) main character is badass and very cool, but also gets to be very human and I love it. It's fantastic. The (extra-)batshit parts turn out to be really fun too and they add to the story and give it some interesting, really enjoyable elements to play with. (But, I mean, those kinds of twists are staples of this kind of story and especially the Russian-American spy sub-genre, so it fits in nicely. And it's done really well.) Great story, love the characters. You should totally go watch it.
If you love the tension of espionage stories or the wonder evoked by sci-fi tales ,...
Great show ♥️♥️♥️
Watch it!
In From The Cold is so, sooo good! Like kickass action movie for women, corny dialogues, sweet sweet LGBTQ+ romance, multilingual heaven good!
And the girls romance.... 😍I'm dying, I'm heartbroken, I want more!
Can't stand Chauncey, thought.🙄
holy shit. holy shit. h o ly s h i T everyone needs to watch In From the Cold on netflix now. i binged the whole thing in the span of 22 hours & i'm ready to watch it again. this plot and the twists and the actors and the editing and the cinematography is AMAZING. i really try not to overhype things but this?? THIS?? this deserves the hype. i feel like i've had 4 cups of coffee i'm like vibrating in my desk chair over this show it's SO GOOD
GERALT OF RIVIA - THE WITCHER
Finishing The Witcher, Season 2: Some Thoughts
Geralt as a father figure was a treat to watch. Watching as the found family came together was my favorite storyline.
His understandable reaction to what Yennefer did at the end broke my heart but I have hope she will win his trust back.
Anyone doubting the chemistry between Yen and Geralt needs to watch the reunion scene. Both actors are absolutely brilliant in it. Their faces convey so many complicated emotions, despite those awful contacts. There is such longing and relief and want there.
Speaking of....the contacts this season (with the exception of Yennefer) were so distracting.
Favorite monster: that final basilisk. It was gorgeous.
I loved the scenes with Jaskier and Yennefer. Watching them go from total distaste to friendship was so satisfying.
Kaer Morhen was exactly the way I had it in my head. The production design this whole season was on point.
My favorite secondary character is Vesemir, although Fringilla gets an honorable mention.
Best costume is a tie between that purple cloak and Geralt's tight pants. Both are heroes this season.
I love how so often Geralt's reaction to some revelation or news was just "sighs".
The number of "fucks" that flew from Yennefer's mouth also were a delight
"Burn Butcher Burn" is smashing.
I really enjoyed this season. I've played the games and read the books and understand that the TV show is a variation on a theme so I can enjoy it for what it is. I don't understand the anger some people seem consumed with that things aren't exactly like the books or games.
While we are on the subject of anger: ship whoever you want. Ship Geralt and Jaskier, Jaskier and Yennefer, Yennefer and Tissaia, Yennefer and Cahir, Geralt and Yen and Jaskier....whoever you bloody well want to. But be respectful enough to a) not call anyone who does NOT agree with your ship an idiot, b) not throw your anger at the showrunner who is orientating herself on the books, where Geralt and Yennefer are canon and c) be mindful of the tags. Keeping posts with specific content within the correct tags makes fandom a happier place.
Favorite lines:
"Mine." He is fucking brilliant here. So much in his face and that one word.
"Longing. Regret. Hope. Fear."
"I don't care."
"Fire fucker."
"Like father, like daugher."
"It's what eats you alive. Loneliness."
"I'm saving me."
"It flies."
"What witches do best. Making a potion."
The final series is almost here, it's their last chance to find the Book of Life even with all their enemies against them. A Discovery Of
Oh great - I think this is the version that people can see outside of the UK. Give it a go if you haven’t been able to access the YouTube version.
OMG this looks soooo gooooood!

I just want to watch the whole 2nd season of A Discovery of Witches but now I have to wait for every Saturday.
I can’t wait for Saturday for a different reason. I’ve already watched it but damn it is hard not to post spoilers.
I want to share but it’s not really fair on the #adows2weeklywatch people. : (

I wish we had all had the same schedule from the beginning. I kind a like doing the week by week thing.
I hate that they dropped the episodes all at once.
After a two-year wait, I had fun for one weekend and then life got in the way and I haven’t watched it since.
I loved the anticipation the first time around, the discussions and re-watches between episodes.
In s2, since I didn’t want to spoil anyone, I didn‘t really discuss because it was hard to keep eps appart, what can and can‘t be talked about.
Of course, it’s mostly on me, I didn’t make the effort, but the way they released the eps, only generated a buzz for a few days and then many moved in to the next thing in rl or on the screen.
Matthew Goode - being very serious for once, talking about the amazing sets in A Discovery of Witches 2
I just needed a bit of Matthew in modern day dress.

I live for Matthew Goode and his beanies.
We always say we’re such yin and yang. We click together so well. I just adore him— he’s crazy and kooky.

early thoughts on season 2
It reminds me a LOT of what happened with The Musketeers, which is both a good and a bad thing. Season 1 of The Musketeers was really rickety/creaky in places but it gave the show a fun charm that made it extremely watchable. Then season 2 came along and ironed out a lot of the issues… but took a bunch of the charm with it.
I’m planning a rewatch where I’ll slow down and enjoy things more. I still had a good time with the show but I found I thought it was better quality but I enjoyed it less? Which made me sad.
I actually prefer season 2. I loved season 1, because it was a beautiful, sweet piece of escapist cotton candy in pastel colors, but season 2.... was something was so much more exciting.
Diana was much more on par with Matthew and not just that smitten, naive girl. I also had a bit of an issue with Teresa’s acting in season 1 and thought she was much better in season 2, especially in the more intense scenes.
And Matthew!!! Just loved everything about him, his playful and intense sides, his love for Diana and his obsessive need caused by the blood rage. The way his mates noted that he changed (for the better).
And Matthew Goode, OMG, he’s just a god! His acting was out of this world.
I didn’t really care for the stories back in the present time. Was any one else annoyed when Phoebie said they all needed to move forward together (something along those lines) at the dinner table? I screamed at my laptop “that’s easy for you to say now after Matthew and Diana paved the way!”
Matthew de Clermont: fearsome vampire by night, fashion police by day
He says this, and then he wears that earring. So what is the truth.
Oh my god! That earing was ridiculous!!
