Bernie Sanders just revealed his bold plan to tackle climate change
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) released an ambitious climate plan late Sunday night to fight the on-going threat of global climate change. Under Sanders’ plan, dubbed “People Before Polluters,” the United States would slash carbon emissions 40% from 1990 levels by 2030 and 50% by 2050. Here’s how he’ll do it.
A friend shared this video with me. She said I would probably like it. Prince EA brings spoken word to environmental causes. I urge every one to watch this video he. For those of you who say he is exaggerating are probably the same people who still don't believe in climate change. The change is real, the question is when. Anyone that has children should be concerned your children or grandchildren are the ones that will have to deal with the outcomes we brought upon this Earth. Don't leave this planet knowing that you turned your back on it it. Do what you can volunteer, donate, pledge a meatless day out of the week. Support local business instead of big chains. Walk to the store around the corner instead of drive. Recycle. Know that you tried to make a change in this world.
A new study shows that regional governments spend as much as $31,000 a year per homeless person (on “the salaries of law-enforcement officers to arrest and transport homeless individuals – largely for nonviolent offenses such as trespassing, public intoxication or sleeping in parks – as well as the cost of jails stays, emergency-room visits and hospitalization for medical and psychiatric issues”), when getting each homeless person a house and a case worker to supervise their needs would cost just $10,000 per person. Paris-based Sitbon Architectes are proposing a conceptual phytoplankton farm that sits on the sea, breeding the ecologically vital microscopic organisms in a bid to produce more oxygen, while simultaneously removing excess carbon dioxide from the sea.
Palm oil consumption is destroying the orangutan natural habitat, killing thousands a year. We have the power to choose products that don’t contain Palm oil. The term ‘vegetable oil’ is used for Palm oil as well. #animalrights #orangutan #palmoil #deforestation #environment
Check out the abstract for the Environment International study: “Exposure to fine particle matter, nitrogen dioxide and benzene during pregnancy and cognitive and psychomotor developments in children at 15 months of age.”
In the late 1990s, the collapse of West Coast groundfish, which include more than 90 species of mostly bottom-dwelling fish, caused economic upheaval for communities up and down the Pacific Coast and led the federal government in 2000 to declare a disaster in the fishery. Yet, in a roundabout way, the rapid decline in groundfish numbers opened new opportunities for an entrepreneur with a product that helps reduce the waste of fish that are caught unintentionally.

Aspen is one of three U.S. cities to run on 100 percent renewable energy. First two cities to reach the goal were Burlington, Vermont and Greensburg, Kansas
This is beautiful! We do not own this Earth we just exist here. Yet we take advantage and disrespect the Earth. Nature does not need us. The most beautiful places on this Earth are those that are secluded or not man created. We are creating a climate change that will be at a point of no return. If you have children or any younger generation you love this should be an issue you need to understand and start making changes!
Natural Swimming Pools
Natural swimming pools use plants or a combination of plants and sand filters to keep the water clean and clear without chemicals. They were developed in Austria and Germany in the 1980s and have since grown in popularity worldwide. They can be designed in a multitude of ways: Some look like natural ponds; others may be disguised as standard tiled pools. (Source)
