Dear friends and internet strangers and users of Tumblr,
Hi. I never tumblr anymore but you can watch me do some IRL Tumblring on my NEW SHOW for Nerdist, FANGIRLING, which premieres TODAY (Monday!), 10/31 on Nerdist.com/twitch. I would LOVE IT if you watched.
We’re talking pop culture witches, the morality of Westworld with Shannon Woodward, crafting our own version of the Hocus Pocus spell book, and even playing a bit of Ouija with Jessica Chobot and Clarke Wolfe!
If you know me at all, you know this is a dream come true — I literally moved to LA 4 years ago hoping to create my own show. And now I have? LIFE IS CRAZY MAGICAL.
LOL WHAT IS LIFE EVEN/BURY ME IN THIS MOMENT.
Tatiana Maslany has blessed us with reaction GIFs. YAAAS!
Do you have an ear for Regency/Victorian era slang?
We tested the cast of Pride + Prejudice + Zombies on their wordsmith skills.
I know I’m the worst at Tumblr and I never use it BUT I BECAME A GIF TODAY so this is very important.
It’s that time of day at Comic-Con, Clone Club.
I have the BEST life you guys. HOLYFUCKINGSHIT I got Kristian and Tatiana to dance.
Watch: 70 actresses have teamed up to #MakeItFair because men should have it all, right?
What makes you think that this person is just starting?
Why can’t a larger body be seen as inspirational without implying that they’re a beginner, just starting out, or are trying to change themselves?

So you wanna rethink that rancid embarrassment of a post?
Also it’s creepy, dehumanizing and objectifying to post a fat woman’s body with her head cropped out to use as your fitspo.
people love chopping fat bodies into pieces for their thinspo/fitspo in order to further dehumanize and “other” us
we aren’t people to them; we’re decapitated before shots with a warning label slapped where our humanity should be
And you wonder why fat people don’t like gyms? This shit right here
I’m just going to leave this bit of relevant self-promotion here: What Happened When I Found My Picture on a Thinspo Blog
I know I never post on here anymore because I’m the worst/life is very busy, but I just had to share this snippet from my conversation with Bob’s Burgers mastermind Loren Bouchard because it feels a.) telling about just how great he is and 2.) because it makes me laugh.
The whole interview was a goddamn delight, in particular the moments where he sang some Linda songs (in honor of John Roberts’ brilliance) and played bits of Sunday night’s new episode’s musical moments for me.
Look for it on The Hollywood Reporter soon!
Thanks to John Oliver, Washington just introduced a bill no other state has
He’s warned us about the tyranny of pumpkin spice, demolished the myth of class mobility and spoke the truth about New Years’ Eve. But if all that wasn’t enough, you can now thank John Oliver for changing our politics for the better.
The Stranger reports that Washington State Senator Cyrus Habib has authored a bill directly inspired by the comedian.
YES! John Oliver: simply the best. Better than all the rest.

Please enjoy some casual Monday happiness.

Science finds alarming disadvantage for female bosses versus their male counterparts
Women already face a lot of obstacles when it comes to attaining leadership positions in the workplace. But it turns out that even when they do get the job, they still face an uphill battle.
According to a new study published in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior, women who have the job authority to hire, fire and influence pay have significantly more symptoms of depression than women without this power. In comparison, men who enjoy this job authority have fewer symptoms of depression than men who don’t.
Why do female bosses have it harder?
