I, too, don't know. #watercolor #watercolorpainting #watercolorart #watercolorillustration https://www.instagram.com/p/CEirktVFye8/?igshid=1e1oqrzh4v7yd
I find this work of mine lacking in so many aspects. Haha. It's immature and careless and plainly terrible. But I don't want to pretend that it didn't happen and that I never drew this because I did spend my precious time making it. It's a part of my journey and even if it looks ugly, I will acknowledge it. Things won't always go the way we planned. The road to success is not always smooth. There will be storms, bumpy roads, ugly artworks. But they're not there to stop us, they're there to make us realize that a long way is ahead of us and we can always do better and be better. I struggled a lot with putting life on my works. Everytime I finish a piece, it feels like it's lacking something. Though I enjoyed the time I spent making it, looking at it feels like I never really poured my heart onto it. Truth be told, it's difficult to continue but I'm doing my best to. This will serve as a reminder that I don't have to be great to start, I have to start to be great. Drew this piece on a sketchbook using Crayola Supertips. Stiff, Lifeless, Soulless These are the words that best describe my works. And no, I'm not looking for sympathy or validation by downgrading them. I said it because it's true. Looking at my work feels like walking on a gloomy world where everything is just so dull. I have a lot to learn, I still have a long way to go. But what I'm most proud of is my decision to continue despite my demotivating environment. I'm posting this as a reminder to myself that I don't need to be great to start, but I have to start to be great. ❤️ Drew this on my old notebook using Crayola Supertips. Transformed an old photo album into a functional binder for all my independent studies during quarantine. Used it for some time because I was proud of my design but eventually I grew tired of it so I ended up buying new binders. Hahahuhu. This cozy album just holds my quarantine artworks now. 🤎
