My name is Midas. Lately, they've been calling me the Golden Gunslinger. I... think I like it. Currently, I am located in the Kanto region with my two daughters, and my Gholdengo, Plank. I do not battle, no matter how much those here attempt to coerce me. For now, I'm just trying to enjoy myself, and stick to my plans. ...And mainly enjoy myself. So feel free to get busy in my ask box, if you know what I mean.

Physical fucking wouldn't be e-sex. A question for your question- what about something residing within a computer, like myself? I may not be confined to the Loop anymore but technically I am still a digital entity. Is it e-sex whenever I've had sex? Because in that case, I've had a lot of e-sex.

What are your kids like if you're comfortable sharing?

Highly intelligent, naturally. My stupid fucking they/she daughter (Marigold) is the spitting image of me, much to everyone’s dismay, whereas the younger (Jules) doesn’t particularly take after either of her parents appearance-wise.

With my illness, certain features of my appearance look different from how they would otherwise. I’m sure if I weren’t ill, I’d look a lot more like Jules. Alas. No cure.

Jules is a mechanic/engineer, and a fantastic one at that. She’s enjoying her time here but doesn’t want to get too ‘attached’ to the world we find ourselves in. Like me, she only has one Pokémon, and that’s just as a means to fit in a little easier. It’s a Corviknight. No surprises there, the girl who made a metal bird picks a metal bird.

Marigold, on the other hand, has picked up numerous jobs through her life. They are a particularly talented mathematician, and take on a lot of freelance helping people get their personal affairs in order. Between you, me, and the wider internet that could see this post at any time, I think they might pocket some of the money, although I could never be certain. She doesn’t have any caught Pokémon, but she lets Pokémon she meets follow her around, and they do.

Are all Gholdengo stupid, or did I just get one with a slightly smaller brain? It glides too low down and has torn up floors and concrete. I'm renting right now. I can only let it out of its ball outside. ( @gold-gunslinger )

Okay so. To be quite honest. Most Gholdengo I've met are a little dumb. They're VERY greedy and focus more on THAT than being smart. They have the hubris of Icarus, too. I've met many Gholdengo in the past year or two that have gotten stupid injuries trying to get gold.

I had to foster a Gimmighoul, once, and while they were in my care, they evolved. That beast tried to steal my chocolate gold coins I was keeping for someone because they were CONVINCED they were real gold.

The one I took care of didn't do what you're describing, but it's absolutely not UNHEARD OF. My working theory is that they don't understand property damage, and just know if they break things, there's a good chance you'll start collecting money for it to take.

All this to say. They're naturally stupid and greedy. But that doesn't mean yours DOESN'T have a smaller brain than usual, either.

I quite like the chases. It's not exactly like I'm hard to recognise- covered in tattoos, gold hands. Exacerbating the fact and vying to get chased is more exciting. You may want to be identified as a hero, I just want to be identified as Midas. Or the Golden Gunslinger.

I only like the chases when they’re in a romantic sense. I’ve been involved with the Second King of Illyria recently, who has been trynna arrest me fer a damn while now. That’s the kinda chases I like. Others jus’ stress me out, ‘cuz I want the results so I can help others.

The Golden Gunslinger is a kickass name, though. Love it. Wish I had a cool title like that.

what's a rifter?

A Rifter is someone who, intentionally or not, travels between dimensions by means of Rifts. Cracks or shards in the timeline that allow you to enter somewhere far, far different. I’m rather well-practiced in it now, but the pull of this current reality- the world of Pokémon- has brought me back once or twice.

As far as I know, situations like my current one of being pulled back are rare. A young man by the name of Drift told me that he suddenly arrived in the Loop (the Fortnite world) one day. He hasn’t been able to leave, but he’s rather well integrated now. I’m beginning to think he wants to stay, his world must be quite dull.

To clear something up going forward, I know I was a character in the Fortnite world. All of my memories before my mid-30s are entirely fabricated, a story woven together by hands other than my own. Gaining self-awareness and breaking out of the loop was my own feat, and best believe I’ve been chased for it. I suspect being pulled back to the Pokémon world time and time again must be punishment. Atonement for breaking out of my caste.

God, it’s thrilling. It makes me feel alive.
