I think theyāre funny! I love the one of Mi-nyeo and Deok-su being Nam-gyuās father, I think that oneās really funny. I also sometimes see the two guys who died first in season 1 (Iām not sure if they have canon names) being Thanosā parents and I think thatās funny too. Iāve also seen one of Sang-woo being Myung-giās father a while ago too!
There is actually a phenomenon called False Confession where people are beaten, chased, or scared into confessing something they didnāt do. Thatās what happened to Dae-ho.
Yeah I think so too, especially since he does show signs of having PTSD throughout the entire show. I genuinely donāt believe heās faking at all, and that he was just lying about lying
I was just talking to my mom about Dae-ho bc we were rewatching episode 2 of s3. Anyways while talking I kinda brought up the fact that Dae-ho could be a permaregressor (I believe thatās what itās called) due to the fact that he had a rough childhood and doesnāt act 37 years old. She agreed with me and also brought up that he could have a hard time actually functioning as an adult due to the fact heās unemployed and only has part time jobs (as stated in his character profile). So now Iām gonna be thinking about permaregressor Dae-ho for a while šš
To fix this buffoonery, can you please write a fic that takes place in S3 E2 but instead of the bamboozling we got, Hyun-ju and Dae-ho team up and Dae-ho regresses to little baby space mid game

Regressor! Dae-ho w/ Caregiver! Hyun-ju
Summary: Hyun-ju protects a scared and regressed Dae-ho during the Hide and Seek game.
Contains: Age regression, crying, physical fighting to the death, accidents/wetting, mention of knives, mention of blood, thumb sucking.
A/N: Didnāt add him wearing any kind of padding, since I wasnāt sure how to add that in, but I did make it so that it was obvious that he needed to wear it, if that makes sense. Basically what Iām saying is that he has an accident during the game, due to how young he regresses and from being scared, so I hope that works for you.

The game was half way over now, fifteen minutes on the clock, but Dae-ho wasnāt doing well. He was teamed up with Hyun-ju and they were both hiders, so they were trying to find the exit. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, Dae-ho wasnāt much help. At all.
He was terrified, too scared to think or really do anything. It didnāt help that he was also trying not to regress, not wanting to be any more of a burden to Hyun-ju. Hyun-ju had been keeping her hand gripped onto Dae-hoās wrist, leading him everywhere.
She wasnāt stupid or oblivious, she could very much tell that Dae-ho was holding off and trying to keep himself from regressing. Hyun-ju had already mentally prepared herself for when Dae-ho would regress, since she could just tell he was going to any minute now. It was why she was so much more desperate to find the exit, wanting to keep both Dae-ho and herself safe.
Right now, the two were quickly wandering through the maze, before reaching a dead end with a singular door. Hyun-ju went to unlock, only to find that the lock shape was different from the keys she and Dae-ho had. She sighed, before she could hear Dae-ho whimpering.
āHyun-juā¦ā He muttered, tugging on her vest. Hyun-ju quickly turned around, only to see a person with a red vest on, wielding a knife. āGet behind me!ā Hyun-juās voice was serious as she pushed Dae-ho behind her, causing him to stumble back into a corner.
As Hyun-ju fought the man, Dae-ho watched in horror, trying to back himself further against the wall. He started sobbing as he watched the fight, immediately triggering him into regressing. And when he had regressed, he had regressed extremely young.
By the time Hyun-ju had done what she needed to do to protect the two of them, Dae-ho was an absolute wreck and Hyun-ju felt horrible when she saw the state he was in. Dae-ho was harshly sobbing, his body shaking with fear. He was still standing in the corner, his pants now being completely soaked as he stood there in a puddle.
Hyun-ju quickly put the knife that the man had into her pocket, and wiped the blood off using her pants. She rushed over to Dae-ho and took off her jacket. Hyun-ju wrapped the jacket around his waist, trying to hide the fact that he had an accident the best she could.
āItās okay, youāre okay.ā She spoke to him calmly, cupping his face with her hands. Dae-ho was hyperventilating, grabbing onto her wrists and holding a tight grip. āI know, baby. Youāre safe now, youāre safe.ā Hyun-ju told him. She was holding his face still, to keep him from looking at the outcome of the fight, which was clearly the reason why he was so frightened.
āCan you walk? Are you able to walk?ā Dae-ho shook his head, his crying becoming louder due to thinking Hyun-ju was going to leave him there all alone. āShh, shh..ā Hyun-ju shushed him, desperately trying to get him to quiet down, not wanting to draw any attention.
āItās okay, Iāll carry you.ā She said. āI just need you to be extremely quiet, okay? I know youāre upset, I know youāre scared, but you have to be quiet. We canāt draw attention to ourselves.ā Hyun-ju explained, watching as Dae-ho quieted down the best he could, nodding his head to show he understood.
Hyun-ju picked Dae-ho up, holding him securely in her arms. āClose your eyes.ā She told him, not wanting him to see the lifeless body in front of them again. Dae-ho listened, closing his eyes and hiding his face in Hyun-juās shoulder as he was carrying throughout the maze by her.
Luckily, there was no trouble carrying Dae-ho around and getting him into one of the rooms. Hyun-ju didnāt see nor hear anyone, so they were fine to stay in the room, at least for now. Hyun-ju gently placed Dae-ho down in the farthest corner of the room, then knelt down in front of him.
āYou are so brave!ā She whispered, using a happy and encouraging voice. Hyun-ju smiled at Dae-ho, who stared up at her with big, teary eyes. āYouāre safe with me, I promise. Iām not going to leave you alone and Iāll defend you if necessary. You wonāt be left by yourself.ā She told Dae-ho, gently cupping his face.
Soft cries left Dae-ho, his body still shaking as he sat there, just terrified of everything around him and what was happening. āI know itās scary, but I need you to last just..ā Hyun-ju paused, looking at the timer in the room. Five minutes. ā..Five minutes. Just five minutes, then weāre safe.ā Hyun-ju said.
Dae-ho whimpered, so little and out of it that he wasnāt registering a single thing Hyun-ju was telling him. He just stared at her, before reaching out, sobbing louder as he did so. āDae-ho, shhh. Itās okay.ā Hyun-ju picked him up, trying to quiet him down so they wouldnāt be found.
Once he was picked up, Dae-ho stopped crying loudly, but he was still crying. It was just not loud enough for anyone to hear now, which Hyun-ju was thankful for. For the rest of the time, Hyun-ju just held him, hoping no one would barge in and attack them.
It felt like an eternity, but finally, the five minutes had gone by. As soon as the timer went off though, Dae-ho clung tightly to Hyun-ju, loudly sobbing since the sudden, blaring noise startled him.
āBaby, itās okay. Itās all over, youāre safe now. Itās all over.ā Hyun-ju spoke with relief as she rubbed Dae-hoās back, carrying him out of the room. The way Hyun-ju spoke and sounded helped Dae-ho relax, hearing her voice sound calm and relieved.
As Hyun-ju carried Dae-ho over to where all the players were exiting, she looked down, remembering that he had an accident during the game. Hyun-ju quickly walked over to one of the guards by the exit.
āExcuse me?ā Hyun-ju started. āUm..would it be possible for him to get a new tracksuit? Or at least some new pants. He..got scared and had an accident..ā She told the guard, her voice quiet since she didnāt want anyone else to hear.
āIām sorry, but we cannot give you new clothing. You have to keep wearing the clothes you were assigned to.ā The guard responded. āPlease, sir. I donāt want him to get mocked or-ā Hyun-ju was cut off.
āAccess to new clothing is not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.ā Hyun-ju sighed, there was no point in getting through to him. She walked around from the guard, carrying Dae-ho, who was now calm, back to the dormitory.
Once they arrived to the dormitory, Hyun-ju sat Dae-ho in his bed, covering his legs with his blanket, before she sat down beside him. Dae-ho smiled as he looked at her, he was regressed so young and far, Hyun-ju doubted he remembered anything that happened. She figured it was just so traumatic that his brain blocked it out.
āAre you happy now?ā Hyun-ju asked with a small smile. Dae-ho didnāt give a response, he just stared at her with large, wide eyes, before he proceeded to suck his thumb. Hyun-ju put her arms around him, bringing him close as she hugged him.
āIām so glad I could keep you safe.ā Hyun-ju whispered to him. Dae-ho softly cooed at her, making Hyun-ju chuckle. She felt horrible about everything that had happened and that he had to witness, but in the end, she was able to keep him safe. That had been her goal all along.

Permaregressor! Dae-ho Headcanons
A/N: I wasnāt sure what you specifically wanted me to talk about, so I just made a list of headcanons. I hope thatās fine!!
ā¢Heās permaregressed due to his PTSD that came from his childhood trauma. Itās not by choice, he genuinely cannot grow up and act his physical age.
ā¢The age heās permaregressed to, or mentally stuck as, is late teens to early twenties. With that being said, he can regress back to a lot younger, but heās often around his late teens to early twenties, so somewhere around 18-21.
ā¢Despite being permaregressed, he knows his real, physical age and when asked he will say that heās thirty-seven, since thatās how old he actually is. Even if he doesnāt feel like heās thirty-seven.
ā¢Has a hard time actually functioning and acting like an adult, itās one of the reasons why he canāt keep a full time job and only works part time ones.
ā¢Poor guy has been fired from so many jobs because of this, he just canāt get used to it or do anything right at the job.
ā¢He has roommates, who consists of Gyeong-seok, Hyun-ju, and Young-mi. They all make an effort to help heal him and help him more mature so he can actually keep a job and become more independent, but he has a really hard time with it to the point where itās not promising that heāll ever actually mature.
ā¢His roommates arenāt the only ones who try to help him out. Jun-hee, Jung-bae, and Gi-hun do too!
ā¢Itās so easy to trigger him into regressing younger, whether itās a positive trigger or a negative trigger. Dae-ho can and will regress younger just from seeing a toy that heās interested in.
ā¢Dae-ho has such a large range of ages heāll regress too. The oldest, and the age heās permaregressed to, is 21 but he can go all the way down to just the age of a newborn.
ā¢He has so much stuff to help him cope with this and when heās at different ages. Theyāre all in separate containers that are labeled. He has his regular stuff, then stuff for when heās teen regressed, tween regressed, kid regressed, toddler regressed, and lastly baby/newborn regressed.
ā¢Itās obvious when he regresses younger, even if itās just like a 1-2 year difference. Itās still obvious when it happens.
ā¢His personality also changes, depending on what age he regresses to. When heās around teen to tween ages, heās very rebellious. Heāll āsneak outā of the house, purposely do things heās not supposed to do, and just argue constantly.
ā¢When heās around kid to older toddler age, heās extremely hyper and always wants to play. He is always playing and trying to get his caregiversā attention.
ā¢And then when heās around younger toddler to newborn ages, heās pretty calm and relaxed. He prefers to stay around his caregiver(s) and cuddle with them. He will cry if he canāt see them too, heās very attached to his caregivers.

How would the squid game regressors react to their padding/diaper showing (like it reaches past their pants waist band if you know what I mean) ?
So Iām only going to do a few of the regressors that I personally headcanon as padded regressors for this (not all of them, but I will do some of them, since I donāt want this to be super repetitive)
Thanos:
-Literally doesnāt care at all.
-He usually hangs out in just a t-shirt and diaper/pull-up when heās regressed, so he doesnāt care if the waist band is peaking out when heās wearing pants.
-Even if heās out in public (which is super rare) he doesnāt care, which is mainly because heās regressed and doesnāt have realize that the chances of him being recognized in public is pretty high. Though, heās always put in large shirts for this exact reason, so that it isnāt noticeable.
Nam-gyu:
-Baby Nam-gyu also doesnāt really care, but toddler Nam-gyu does and will absolutely deny that his pull-up was showing.
-Thanos, or whoeverās watching him, will pull down his shirt for him while telling him why they did so. Nam-gyu gets super defensive and says that it wasnāt showing at all and that theyāre just being mean to him.
Min-su:
-It doesnāt happen much to Min-su, since he usually wears onesies.
-When heās wearing pants and it does happen though, he doesnāt realize until he gets his shirt pull down as well.
-He doesnāt really care if itās just Se-mi who was with him, but around the others, he gets a little embarrassed.
Myung-gi:
-Heās similar to Nam-gyu in the sense that he will deny and argue that it ever happened.
-Heāll literally throw a huge tantrum if someone even tries to tell him that his diaper waist band was showing.
-Itās best to just pull his shirt down and not tell him why..
Dae-ho:
-Kind of similar to Min-su that he doesnāt really care if the waist band is showing around his caregiver, but anyone else he will get embarrassed about.
-Baby Dae-ho finds it hilarious when his shirt gets pulled down though, and will grab his caregiverās shirt to do the same thing to them since he doesnāt even know why they did it to him in the first place.
What if padded Dae-ho had went his first night without an accident? CG Hyun-ju is preferred!

Sleepy whines and grunts left Dae-ho as he slowly moved around in his bed, rubbing his eyes awake. He yawned, causing his pacifier to fall out of his mouth as he opened his eyes. The room was a little bright, the sun peeking in through the curtain.
Dae-ho hummed, putting his pacifier back into his mouth before he sat up in bed, soft groans leaving him as he stretched. Though, when he sat up, Dae-ho immediately noticed something. He wasnāt wet.
It was an every night occurrence that when Dae-ho would regress, heād always wake up wet, due to having an accident in his sleep. It was horrible and embarrassing for a while, before he eventually got used to it. Though, it did help that Hyun-ju was super nice about it, never teasing him or anything, just helping him change.
Dae-ho gasped, jumping out of bed and running to find Hyun-ju while giggling proudly. He ran into her room, only to find that she wasnāt there, so he ran out into the living room, where she was sitting on the couch.
āMama!!ā Dae-ho exclaimed, instantly getting Hyun-juās attention. She smiled, standing up as Dae-ho ran to her, practically jumping into her arms. āSomeoneās super happy this morning, huh?ā Hyun-ju softly chuckled as she picked Dae-ho up.
āDid you sleep well?ā Dae-ho nodded his head. āUh-huh!ā He said, giggling as he did so. āMama, guess what!ā He spoke excitedly. Hyun-ju had an interested look on her face. āWhat is it, baby?ā She questioned.
āI didnāt have any accidents last night! Woke up dry!ā Dae-ho proudly told her. Hyun-ju gasped. āYou did?!ā She shared his excitement. Dae-ho giggled more, nodding his head. āYeah!!ā He squealed out.
āAre you proud of me? I do good?ā Dae-ho asked her. āOf course I am! Iām always proud of you!ā Hyun-ju answered, making Dae-hoās smile even bigger. āAnd do you know what I think we should do to celebrate?ā Dae-ho curiously tilted his head.
āI think after breakfast we should go get you a new toy! How does that sound?ā Dae-ho gasped, flapping his hands with excitement. āYeah! Yeah!!ā He immediately answered. Hyun-ju smiled at his reaction.
āAlright then! Letās go eat breakfast, then get you a new toy!ā She said, Dae-ho squealing and laughing in response. Hyun-ju laughed softly, absolutely adoring seeing him so happy and proud of himself. Dae-ho wasnāt the only one proud though, Hyun-ju was so unbelievably proud of him too.

ANYWAYS!!! HEADCANONS!!!
- Hyun-Ju isnāt Nam-Gyuās main caregiver, but she watches him pretty frequently. She comes over and watches him a lot, along with the others if theyāre regressed, too.
- Nam-Gyu absolutely ADORES Hyun-Ju. When heās tiny heāll cling to her and just lean on her. Heās either always in her arms, on her lap or holding onto her sleeve or hand.
- Surprisingly, Nam-Gyu barely ever throws tantrums when Hyun-Ju is around. If heās being watched by her and someone else and the other caregiver upsets him, heāll run to her crying and just fuss until she holds him and coddles him. He uses this to his advantage. Sometimes heās not even actually crying, his face will just be all red and heāll make crying noises but thereās no tears.
- Hyun-Ju absolutely spoils him, along with all other littles. Sheās a sweet mama and just loves spoiling littles so theyāll be happy.
- Nam-Gyu, even regressed, is able to understand how to use things to his advantage. If he cries? Hyun-Ju will pick him up. If he keeps crying? Sheāll rub his back. If he continues to cry after that? She might offer him a treat! He does this until his stomach hurts from all the sweets heās gotten. Greedy and selfish.
- Hyun-Ju, bless her, has no idea sheās being tricked. She thinks this poor boy is just so sad and the only thing that can cheer him up is treats.
- Everytime Hyun-Ju comes over to babysit, even if sheās not there to babysit Nam-Gyu, heāll run over to her and immediately hug her. Even when heās not regressed. He loves her so much and will regress in her presence in under five minutes. Sheās just able to turn him into a little baby.
- one time Hyun-Ju came over to watch all five of them, since they all were regressing and needed help, and she brought them all plushies that she had picked out for them a while before. They all loved them, but Nam-Gyu is OBSESSED with the little fox plushie she got for him. He carries it around with him all the time, and usually uses it as a chew toy.
- Nam-Gyu likes when Hyun-Ju comes over in hoodies, because then he can steal it and wear it and feel so happy in it. Itās come to the point where Hyun-Ju just brings a hoodie over for him since she knows he likes it.
- Nam-Gyu usually only calls Thanos anything other than his name (he calls him dada when heās deeply regressed) but he loves calling Hyun-Ju āmama.ā Sheāll walk into the same room as him and heās immediately yelling out to her so sheāll give him attention.
Do you think teen regressed Daeho would pick up fights with Thanos just because his reaction would be funnier? Like Myung-gi would be āDo you want to repeat that?ā and Thanosās would be āDid my sweet angel above Daeho just tell me to #### off???ā
Oh absolutely. He never got to be a rude and broody teenager so heāll pick fights with the most fatherly figure of the two. Heāll hide out in his room and do whatever, and if Thanos comes in to check on him heāll immediately be like āget the hell out of my room!!ā
