between this issue and the problem of the developer who seeks to lift ao3 fics and make them into audiobooks without writers' consent, it is increasingly difficult to simply write and share on any platform these days. fanfic writers are not content machines. we don't want to be considered as content creators. we're people, the majority of us adults with paying jobs and lives who come home to do this as a hobby to unwind. it's fun for us, and we decide to share that fun with the rest of you to partake in it with us. doing things like this abuses that privilege and at the end of the day it will drive even more writers from sharing their works again.
simply put, the more this behavior goes on, the quicker you will drive your favorite fandoms to the ground and it will be your fault.
we don't ask for much. respect and feedback, that's it. you fight against feedback and you don't see us as human to grant us respect. when we're all gone, you can't blame anyone else but yourselves for this.
