I'm going to be super honest, I cannot for the life of me remember the last thing I wrote (other than the stats assignment I'm currently working on, but I'm not going to subject any of you to that). So instead, have a few lines from the next chapter of Chords and Courtship (under the line to avoid any spoilers 😉)

He lightly traced the lines of the drawing. She had perfectly captured the quirk of Sass’s smile and the way he always tilted his head just so when he leaned down to listen closely when Kaalki was talking to him. And with equal mastery, she had captured the elegant and graceful curves of Kaalki’s profile, and the way her shoulders were always just a touch softer around Sass.

Jules vs. Lila???? 👀

So this one came about while I was working on Julia vs. the Forces of the Universe. I had originally toyed with the idea of introducing Lila into that story, but I ended up not because it wouldn't have served the story I was trying to tell. But I loved the ideas I had come up with of how Jules would react to knowing both Mari is Ladybug and that Lila was lying about everything, so I jotted down ideas for yet another Jules' centric story 😂 (can you tell I absolutely love her?)

To avoid giving too much away, here's my initial brainstorming:

Juleka finds out Marinette is Ladybug —> realizes that means Lila was lying about everything (she had caught on to some of them but had figured she just wanted to make friends) —> overhears Adrien telling Marinette it doesn’t matter & to take the high road and he & she will be in it together —> he quickly proves himself to be a liar (he does nothing) —> she decides to take matters into her own hands

One detail I love about this WIP is that all of the chapter titles are lines from Various Shakespeare plays

So for Luka gets a Perm, Jules and Luka have a bet, if he loses she gets to give him a perm. Things may or may not work out well for him 😉 All I have written is the synopsis:

“So are we on?”

“Yeah,” he said, holding out his hand for them to shake on it. 

Because what was the point in having a brother if she couldn’t embarrass him? Especially in front of his crush.

Rose vs. Andre came from Disco spitballing/general silliness (isn't that always the case? 😂). The summary is that an adult Rose is annoyed Andre won’t give Marinette the right flavours (Luka flavours) and she’s mad he won’t give out ice cream for all types of love, so she opens her own cart.

I hadn't seen that art but it's now in the document as visual inso because it totally fits the vibes. All I have is a barebones brainstorm for the plot line, but I put some of it under the cut 😁. I apologize for the stream of consciousness formatting of the plan 😂 Honestly I had forgotten about this one but now I kinda want to revisit it (once I'm done this accurséd paper).

Luka and Adrien are both princes in the Court of Miracles - they are both princes of sections of the kingdom, but the kingdom is ruled by the High Queen - the sugar plum fairy 

the sugar plum fairy role is not hereditary - when one fairy dies the powers and right to the throne are passed to a chosen person upon their birth - as the person grows into their powers their sugar plum fairy form begins appearing in the dreams of the people of the kingdom until she is found 

the last sugar plum fairy was murdered so that the rat king's descendant could seize the throne (the new rat king tried to steal her powers but was unable to) 

22 years later under the rule of the rat king —> Luka and Adrien are both rebellion leaders turned into nutcrackers by the king —> Fu (a Drosselmeyer agent) sent in search of the new sugar plum fairy takes the cursed princes with him to keep them from being burned by the rat king 

meanwhile Marinette is in the "real world" and she has been having strange dreams lately and feels like things are changing in her - like the world is too small for her now (partly because she's working a dead end, thankless job)

Fu gives her the nutcrackers and they come to life when the rat army invades her living room where she had been asleep and shrinks her - a la the traditional ballet and 

they were searching for the nutcracker princes 

Marinette decides to go with them to their home world so she can get the magic to get back to her real size

What got you into Miraculous Ladybug?

I remember seeing some screenshots of it on tumblr way back when season 1 was airing and being intrigued. What drew me in from there was the potential the show had. Unfortunately, the direct it's taken has rather put me off, so I just stay in my corner of the fandom happily rejecting canon and substituting it with my own stories 😂

What got you into Miraculous Ladybug?

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond!

Honestly, I don't like the show, and I haven't for a really long time. But I love some of the characters, and the creative potential of the show. Most of all, I love my little corner of the fandom and the friends I made through it
