💬 Let’s talk about REBLOG KARMA
Now, I know it’s an uncomfortable topic and there are many RPers that don’t like reblog karma, but the most used definition of it seems to be “I posted a meme and you MUST send me something in order for you to reblog it from me”.
That is not true.
You have to look at it like this:
An RPer finds a meme, thinks it’s great, and reblogs it because they would like others to send them something in so they can develop their muse better.
But the only thing they see is the notes going up because their followers reblog said meme from them - without sending them the meme.
You know how frustrating that is?
Yes, there are memes that you can’t send in to them because maybe your muses don’t fit that particular one; maybe it’s something romantic or smutty, but your muses are just friends, or they’re family. Or they don’t want to shoot your muse. Then it’s a-okay for you to just reblog it.
BUT - and that’s a big but - there are enough memes out there that are simple ask memes! Asking about the muse’s preferences, their family, job, health; or questions for the mun about themselves.
Reblog karma in this case means that you simply send one or even a few numbers or symbols to the mun, then you reblog the meme to your own blog.
It only takes a few seconds but can change so much!
So, next time before you just reblog a meme from someone, think about it: send them something from said meme before you reblog it. Often, when the mun then sees you reblogging from them, they will most likely send you something in return.
