To the lovely @toosweetforanyone
Jack should've known that agreeing to be Samira's wedding date was going to complicate things.
She'd first mentioned it a little over a month ago, over takeout at her place. Her cousin, Avira, was getting married in New Jersey, and Samiraâs mom had been pestering her to accept the invitation. Samira told him sheâd been reluctant to accept, mostly because she knew her aunties would spend the entire weekend asking her why she was still single. Offering to do her a solid and be her date felt like a no-brainer. They were good friends after all. In fact, they were closer now than they were when they worked at the same hospital. Besides, he had the PTO.
The hotel lobby was packed with guests when they finally arrived after their six and a half hour car ride. Jack was pulling up the reservation on his phone as Samira slid her ID across the front desk. âThe reservation should be under Samira Mohan.â
The receptionist gave them an apologetic smile. âThere seems to be an issue with your room. Unfortunately, there are no more accessible rooms available. What we can do is offer you a standard room instead.â
Jack was prepared to let it go. It was only two nights. He'd dealt with much worse. At least he packed his crutches with him. He probably shouldâve brought his rollator too. All he really needed to do was figure out the shower situation.
âI understand that, but a standard room isnât ADA compliant. We booked an accessible room for a reason. You can't replace an accessible room with a standard room and call it equivalent,â Samira explained.
âYou shouldâve called us. We should have been given the opportunity to make other arrangements. You canât wait until a guest arrives and expect them to simply accept whatever room you have left.â
âAgain, Iâm sorry. Let me see what I can do.â
Jack felt a flutter in his chest as he watched Samira. The reasons he'd once had for keeping his distance were gone. She wasn't a resident anymore. There was no power imbalance to hide behind. Now, the only thing he stood to lose was the person he wanted most.
The receptionist typed for several minutes. âOkay. We have one accessible room available. It's a king instead of the double queens you reserved, but it is ADA compliant.â
âThat works,â Samira told her.
The workerâs shoulders relaxed. âI sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Here are your room keys. Please enjoy your stay.â
Once they were headed toward the elevators, Jack nudged her shoulder. âThanks for back there.â
She shrugged it off as if it were no big deal, but to him it had meant everything. âYou really donât have to thank me. Youâre the one doing me a favor by coming here in the first place.â
The elevator doors slid open for them to step inside. As Jack pressed their floor, the words finally caught up with him. âWait, she said king.â
Samira didnât appear bothered in the slightest. âJack, we just spent over six hours trapped in a car together. I think we'll survive sharing a mattress for two nights.â
The rehearsal dinner had been exactly as terrifying as Samira predicted. At least four different relatives had asked some variation of the same question throughout the night. When was he going to pop the question? It didnât matter that Samira introduced him as a friend and not her boyfriend. It probably didnât help that Samira had reached for his hand when they walked into the restaurant, and when sheâd gone to the restroom, heâd ordered her a gin and tonic, her drink of choice.
Theyâd gotten back to the room forty minutes ago. Now Jack lay on his back, staring at the ceiling, while Samira rested beside him. âJack?â she asked.
Samira rolled onto her side to face him. âDo you ever think about how weird this is? You know... us?â
Jack frowned. âWeird how?â
âWhen I left PMTC, I thought we'd see each other less. Now I see you all the time, which is kinda ironic. I donât know. I just⊠I like that youâre here. I like being around you.â
âI like being around you too. You mean a lot to me, Samira.â
She reached for his hand underneath the sheets. âOne of my aunties told me something tonight. She said you look at me the way my Appa looked at my Amma. I laughed it off, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.â
She squeezed his hand. âI donât want to be just friends anymore, Jack.â
Jack was positive his heart stopped at that very moment. He didn't think. He simply reached out, his fingers sliding to her jaw. Then her mouth was on his.
The kiss started out slow until she parted her lips and he tasted her tongue. He knew right then and there that heâd never get enough of her. His hand slid into her curls. Then she made a sound that shot straight to his cock. âJack. I want this. I want you.â
âSamira.â He pulled back an inch, his forehead against hers. âYou sure? Because once we startâŠâ
âI'm sure. Iâm tired of waiting.â Her hand cupped him through his boxers. âNeed you to fuck me.â
His lips were back on hers as he rolled her onto her back. He found the hem of her shirt and pushed it up over her head. Her bra followed, and then he was looking at her. She was breathtaking. An angel on earth. âSo goddamn beautiful,â he told her, ducking his head to kiss her neck.
Samiraâs fingers fisted into his curls, pulling on the strands. âMore.â
âMy eager girl,â he murmured. She arched her back as he took a dusty brown nipple in his mouth, flicking his tongue over the sensitive bud. When he slipped his hand into her shorts, his fingers met the damp cotton of her underwear. âWet for me already, huh? You want this, baby?â
âSo badly. Donât make me wait.â
âNever.â He dragged her shorts and panties down her legs. After he started stripping off his own clothes, his body went still. âShit, I donât have a condom.â
âItâs okay. I have an IUD. Now stop making me wait.â
âWe gotta learn to work on your patience. I want to take my time with you. Get you nice and ready for me,â he told her.
âIâm ready. I swear, Jack, if you donât stick your dick inside me in the next minute, Iâm gonna lose my shit. Iâm gonna be a lot meaner than I was downstairs.â He didnât doubt it for a second.
âTurn around then. I want to see you on your hands and knees for me.â
She moved onto all fours, her ass in the air. The sight of her like that made Jackâs mouth go dry. He moved behind her, his cock pressing against her entrance. âStill gonna be mean? Or are you gonna be a good girl for me?â
He pushed in, giving her time to adjust. She was tight. He moaned, his hands gripping her hips. âLook at you. Taking me so well. Is this what you wanted?â
âYes. Harder,â she gasped. âPlease, Jack. Just fuck me harder.â
He obliged, his thrusts deepening. âPretty girl. Thatâs it. Just like that.â
âFeels so fucking good, Jack. Please donât stop.â
His fingers found her clit, and she cried out in pleasure. Her arms buckled. She had to drop onto her elbows. Jack didn't let up. He needed to give her exactly what she wanted.
Her hand flew back, gripping his thigh. She dug her nails into his skin. âI'm so close.â
âThen come for me, sweetheart. Let me feel you.â
She came with a shuddering cry, her walls clamping down on him. He joined her after a few more strokes, burying himself deep.
Samira laughed as she collapsed into the mattress. âI canât feel my legs.â
Jack gently pulled out. âGuess you needed the ADA room more than I did,â he teased.
She stuck her tongue out at him and lifted her arms up. âCan you carry me to the bathroom so that I can pee?â
He bent to put his prosthesis back on. Then he scooped her up into his arms, planting a kiss on her forehead. âAnything for you.â
