happy pride month!!!
The murder of 14 y/o’s Cyrus Carmack Belton teaches that the system of racism is alive and kicking. Black people’s suffering is just a side note for most; black people’s activism is an aggression. When people started talking about Black Lives Matter movement, people ridiculed it, they called it woke, loud, exaggerated, and some people even sported t-shirts with the words “White Lives Matter” printed on them. They did not want to see that historically , socially, structurally, black lives have not been as protected as white lives. And they don’t care. While the country never ceased to be hostile to its black citizens, it would be ignorant not to notice how this hostility has been growing and growing in the last two years. People will prize more four bottles of water than were never stolen in the first place than the life of a black child. Shameful
"israeli" isn't a real nationality and no amount of genocide and appropriation of palestinian culture changes that.
“Subverting” Catholic art? Oh, okay. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You log onto the internet and you post about how “Wound of Christ” from Psalter and Prayer Book of Bonne de Luxembourg, attributed to Jean le Noir, c.1349, for instance, looks like a vulva because you're trying to tell the world that you enjoy Catholic art and imagery in an alternative, queer, risqué way that challenges Christian beliefs. But what you don't know is that that stigma isn’t just a vulva. It's not just a mandorla. It's not just yonic. It's actually intentionally erotic. And you're also blithely unaware of the fact that around 1297, Saint Angela of Foligno experienced a vision of Christ himself, who called her to put her mouth to the wound in his side and lick the freshly flowing blood. And then I think it was Saint Catherine of Siena who drank blood and a clear liquid from the wound before receiving a ring made from Christ’s foreskin? And then graphically erotic encounters with the side wound of Christ quickly showed up in the writings of eight different mystics. And then the yonic interpretation of the stigmata filtered down through the illuminated manuscripts and then trickled on down into some pseudo-intellectual corner of the internet…where you, no doubt, fished it out of some Pinterest board. However, that interpretation represents hundreds of years and countless visions of religious ecstasy. And it's sort of comical how you think that you've come up with an idea that exempts you from Christian theology when, in fact…you're posting an image that was sexualized for you by the very Medieval saints you think you’re so different than…from “subverted” Catholic art.
i love black metal bands that use their music to praise God <3

Stop using ai art to depict Jesus.
Jesus was a carpenter, he had to use his own creativity to make stuff.
Maybe you should too.
i can't stand people who take The Lord's name in vain.
not in the sense of saying things like God damnit or Jesus Christ or whatever.
im talking using God's name to justify agendas he would uttery despise.
saying God Hates F*gs is taking The Lord's name in vain. using the bible to justify hateful and discriminatory policy is taking The Lord's name in vain.
kind of disheartened by how little it feels my friends (and most of my generation tbh) care about the world, and how willing they are to compromise their morals for convenience or even just to satisfy boredom.
like you'd really support platforms you know are evil, just because you don't want to feel left out? you'd really put money in the pockets of people that actively contribute to the oppression of yourself and your loved ones? it's worth it to you?
and i know there's no ethical consumption under capitalism, but that doesn't mean there's NOTHING you can do. that doesn't mean it's pointless to engage in any kind of protest, boycotting, or dissent. these are all proven to work if enough people engage in them. but even if they don't make real change, at least you can know that you didn't actively help these horrible people gain more power?
(this isn't a vague post btw! just a general observation. but especially my irl friends are extremely aware of this stuff and they'll talk about it but never act on their feelings. it upsets me especially when they accuse others of performative activism, but they engage in the same thing!)
when i say this, it's not even about boycotting every single large corporation.
but it's ironic to me how many people are on tik tok, instagram, facebook and talking about boycotting places like walmart (one of the main places low income people can afford to get groceries fyi) like bro it's so much easier to boycott the non-essential apps that helped trump get elected and whose developers are on his side?
idk it just feels like telling people the world is ending bc of recycling, it also puts the blame on people who have very little to make real change. because while boycotts can be absolutely effective! you can't realistically boycott monopolies unless you have money and a lot of time, which most low income people don't have. but you can delete the fucking apps! and you don't, so how about you stop aggressively judging people who ACTUALLY don't have a choice? bc most of you are much more enabled to get off those apps, and still haven't.
(i'm off of them, but i keep seeing the discourse reach other places from reposts on those apps and it's so weird to me? like you will never have class solidarity at this pace bro you have to actually not want your comrades to die, first and foremost.) the amount of "socialists" and "communists" and "far left people" and "anti fascists" who are so violently classist and who are so ignorant, so unwilling to do the work and ask themselves hard questions, is appalling to me. so much of this is looking inward, and some of you clearly haven't done that once!!!
it is not enough to get extremely angry and place blame on anyone and everyone else. are you willing to be compassionate? are you willing to be forgiving? are you willing to stop fighting and start talking? are you willing to learn WHY so many people with absolutely no money are willing to fund their own oppression? are you willing to sacrifice your comfort to create real change?
you all want to change the world so badly, but you won't even change your own behaviors. you won't change the way you look at something or someone. you won't ask yourself a single hard question.
i feel like people read these posts and assume i'm mad, and yeah, sometimes i get frustrated. but i'm asking because i needed to hear this so many years ago, and i say it with love. i always wonder how we'll make it out. and i don't think it'll be at the rate we've been going, which includes the constant infighting and resentment of one another. the road to class consciousness will not be perfect or morally pure, it is physically impossible. you have to ask compassionately, rather than jumping to whichever question or assumption will allow you to respond in self-validating anger. you have to try and see the best in others. you have to try and see the worst but still understand that people can change, that they may even want to.
idk i love screaming at the void ig, i know nobody listens but oh well! lol
(p.s. we can make alternatives to the monopolies but if they're not accessible to others, we're supposed to HELP our comrades find a way to bridge that gap than immediately saying "fuck them, they're not on our side.")
hello everyone, even though not many people will see this i just wanted to make a small post saying i won't be active on this blog for a while. itll most likely be temporary because i do enjoy sharing my experiences here but i also wanna step away from social media for a while. keep doing all that you can for the people of Palestine and may God bless you all <3
