When you spot a verse you don't have memorized floating around in the wild, make sure you doublecheck it.

Be prepared for people to start citing these things, believing these things. Be prepared for some tough conversations.

I think this is a presupposition that most defines what sect and religion you follow. Please do not choose "another reason" if it's a mix. Choose the one you believe is primary. Tag what denomination/religion you follow. For science!

To show how powerful He is/that he has authority over everything

To be loved/have creations who love and praise him

To get people back to heaven/to live in an exalted state

To tell a good story/entertainment value

To take on responsibility and grow
