Here’s another illustration of a famous Yosemite landmark! El Capitan is also known as Tōtōokōn'ula’ in the Southern Sierra Miwuk language.  The Southern Sierra Miwuk tribe is one of several tribes associated with Yosemite National Park.

Hey! Familiar with Yosemite National Park and Half Dome but curious as to what it was called in history before it was a park?  Tésseyàk is the name given to Half Dome by the Southern Sierra Miwuk, one of several indigenous tribes assosciated with the park. Ravens are a very common occurrence in Yosemite and definitely are one of my favorite animals that I see when I visit.
