Acrylic paint on canvas (50x60cm) - 11/'16 A gift to the world and Hollywood (and now myself): Marlon Brando, the intense and gorgeous, openly bisexual actor, who refused his Oscar for his performance in The Godfather and had Sacheen Littlefeather, in Apache atire, represent him on stage to say that he refuses to accept it as a stand against the poor treatment of Native Americans in the film industry; donated his entire seven-figure salary to an anti-apartheid charity and was a very vocal civil rights movement supporter, joining the march in Washington.

5yearsagotoday June 17-21-'11. The last part of the San Francisco series: a visit to Alcatraz. This federal prison was creepy as hell, but wasn't felt as such much due to the amazing weather we had. I put a kid in her spot so that J. could get her jailcell pic. Yes, very proud. San Francisco, incidentally, was also our last road trip stop after which we flew to Boston and then took a bus to New York to round off our 6 weeks in the US.
