So, of course I've been scrolling through twitter and I am aware of the whole "Cancel Tyler Joseph" thing. Besides the fact that I'm opposed to the "cancel culture" let's talk a little bit about Tyler Joseph and if there's really an issue there. Imagine hating on Tyler just 'cause he posted a pic and you thought the caption was about making fun of the BLM movement when he clearly addressed to everyone that it's not about the blm movement. Just imagine...
Also, imagine canceling Tyler 'cause he posted about suicide prevention and to raise awareness about it to help US when he "should be posting about blm" , when the whole twenty one pilots discography is centered around the idea of purpose and mental health and Tyler has fought with these two issues for years, just imagine..
OR imagine forgetting about when Tyler Joseph talked about two african-American people being murdered, during a concert and also forgetting about when he actually DID post about George Floyd's case, IMAGINE THAT. (And the video is from like, 2015, when the BLM movement was not widely known)
Oh and... imagine supporting the BLM movement which is about equal rights and the importance of lives regardless of their skin color and than wishing Tyler has listened to the voices in his head when we all know he was in a dark place and was suicidal for years, imagi- ...
Or, I have another one, Imagine calling TYLER ROBERT JOSEPH a racist, a homophobe, when these photos exist:
Last but not least, Imagine believing that just 'cause he did not post a lot about the BLM movement or "enough", he's a racist and 'comfortable with his white privilege' when he clearly has said years ago, for another issue that NOT POSTING does NOT mean NOT SUPPORTING.
Dear Tyler, after everyone leaves, we will stick around. ||-//
