Qué ironía usar la frase "tal vez en otra vida" sabiendo que ni el tiempo vuelve, ni la vida se repite; si no fue ahora, no será nunca.

here’s another!!
my favourite led zep songs and why 🕊️
dazed and confused — this song is a classic led zeppelin song and for the right reason. i know it’s a cover, but what jimmy page and the rest of the band did with the song is impeccable. i especially love all the live versions of the song as no two are the same. the middle section that jimmy expands upon with the violin bow is spellbinding and i particular enjoy both the earls court 1970 and madison square garden 1973 performances of the song. the fantasy sequence that jimmy chose to create for the song remains the same concert film is something i also enjoy. particularly, when he is old and in the hermit costume and he waves a saber back and forth that leaves a coloured shadow. the age changing is also interesting, but the aforementioned part of the scene captures my attention the most. i love this particular performance and i have both the remastered and original vinyl of the madison square garden concerts, and i like listening to the differences in both. i think that this is zeppelin’s greatest song to hear live because you never hear the same version twice, and jimmy’s improvisational solo is always a delight. robert’s vocals throughout the song in both studio and live settings are captivating and enchanting on their own. i also cannot dismiss jpj’s bass work— the song’s opening features one of my favourite bass lines by him. coupled with jimmy’s sparse guitar work, the opening seconds of the song set up the great concerto. around the 0:45 second mark starts a section that i can only describe as a powerful drone and i also deeply enjoy that. maybe i’m biased but i think zeppelin’s version of dazed and confused is better than the original. however, i’ll say both offer something different to listeners and i simply enjoy zeppelin’s version more because of how they developed the song. when i first got into led zeppelin, dazed and confused was the song i enjoyed the most and i played it constantly, so i feel a connection to it. i also associate it with @ayomheartmother since the first time we met i was playing that song on loop in my car. i also cannot forget to talk about bonham! around 4:57 is another section i particular enjoy due to bonham’s particular rhythm and the driving force behind each hit. i don’t know much about percussive instruments, but i think his playing is impeccable. in terms of the rest of led zeppelin 1, this song is my favourite and it easily makes my top 10 of all time favourite led zeppelin songs.
