Alice's sword swings slightly as she continues to clear the path ahead of the two, using the other hand to tie off the cloth around her bleeding wound. "You could go on back to wherever you came from." Alice states, "But I have a feeling that's going to be more difficult than either of us would like it to be."
Alice glances at the much smaller girl, "You're sweet, but three things. One, this is Wonderland, not the world you came from. Things work... differently here. Two, unlike your usual little errands, there is no solution where this gets fixed overnight. My life cannot be fixed by a magic wand. Three, I'm the older one here. I should be taking care of you."
Alice turns then, crouching slightly (though, argubly, she doesn't have far to go). She places a hand on Sofia's shoulder, and smiles faintly. "Thank you for being worried about me and my health. But you're a child. There is no world in which the expectations of fixing or correcting anything should ever be on your shoulders. So, please, just let me take care of you until I can get you somewhere safe."
