There is a house elf who lives in the kitchen who makes the best mac and cheese, if you ask nicely, that is.

Chase laughed quietly, nodding as he tilted his head, only slightly, to look at the blonde. “That is true,” he grinned lightly, “but I really couldn’t help it. The situation was too easy,” the curly haired boy teased. “Mirror of Erised. It’s desire backwards. The words, Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi, on the mirror meanI show not your face, but your hearts desire. It was brought back here by a teacher like, 200 years ago,” the boy shrugged, rattling off what he’d been told, even though the Ravenclaw probably had no interest for it. “Oh, uh. Well, the things in there could be a possibility, I guess. Depending on what it is… If you work hard enough or whatever,” he spoke up quickly in an attempt to comfort the girl who’s face had suddenly dropped.
“My mum,” he shrugged lightly. It wasn’t news around school that Chases’ mum had died when he was very young and he new had a step mum he despised, which was why he was at ease with telling people what he saw in the mirror on the off chance the topic came up. “What about you?”
Leila had a hint of a smirk on her face; in a way she knew the feeling. Sometimes sarcasm came so easy. Other times it hadn't. "Two. Hundred. Years. Ago?" The fifth year cannot help but to whistle at that. "I always have a habit of forgetting that Hogwarts is this huge piece of history. It's super cool," she finishes. Hogwarts was super cool. The school was like a museum and it caused her a great deal of awkward teen girl emotions to think it over. "Oh..." her voice lowered slightly. Thinking over how odd it must be to have a younger girl ramble off to him, made her feel momentarily queasy. Super queasy, more like it. Damn.
Things like this always took the blond by surprise. Not that she didn't care about other people's thoughts. She did. It's just the fact that she doesn't listen to much gossip or at times keeps to herself, always makes old information seem new to her; making her quiet for a moment and a little confused on what it must be like not to have a mum. "Were you two close?" she asked, trying not to be a selfish sixteen year old for once. While sitting on the desk, she swings her legs back and forth from fear of speaking about something too personal. "My family being happy and together. Someone is really sick and it puts a toll on everyone, really," she replies looking to the boy with the messy dark hair.

Yep. Keith's my brother. He's not all that mysterious, really. He's more of a keep to himself, type of bloke. [shit, she's not good with the whole hand shake thing and is...going...stare? The fact that he compliments her doesn't help at all. He was obviously blind. ]

Leila was happy over the fact that she succeeded in the task of making him laugh. Chad, or whatever his name was. Was it bad that she had forgotten? It had been…what, a week since they spoke? “McGonagall’ll eat you?” playfully, Leila smiles and covers her mouth with her hands. “I knew she was a vampire!” Stopping her insane antics, the blond looks in the mirror, then back at the guy. “What is this thing, anyway?” she asks with enough curiosity to kill a cat. The question was her way of saying that if he told her what the mirror was, she’d go to her dorm. The mischievous smile the fifth year gave him, expressed as much.

There is no bed because she just hangs from the rafters at night,” he joked, using the muggle stereotype for a vampire instead of the real one. Resting his hands on the desk, Chase changed his mind, folding them across his chest instead. Arching a brow slightly, Chase decided to answer the question. It’s not like she would go off and tell everyone, and anyways, if she did he could just blame it on one of the 5th year prefects. “That’s the Mirror of Erised,” he explained, not continuing on until he saw the slightly confused look on the girls face. “It shows what the person most desires, or something like that.”
Lightly, Leila began to feel a little more at ease with her unwanted guest. Anyone with a great sense of humor had a wonderful chance of getting her to like them. Yes, even when they were Head Boy. This became noticeable when she decided to chuckle a quiet laugh at his joke. "No body likes a smart arse," she grins, having said this phrase millions of times to her brothers. A part of her wanted to know if he watched Dracula, or if he just knew about muggle tales.
"Mirror of what?" Not that Leila was stupid. She spotted the Latin. She merely didn't speak it. This, of course, caused her jaw to drop for a moment to think it over. Then he explained; causing her to look back at him, instead of the mirror. "I knew it was too good to be true," Leila sighs, taking a step closer to the image before taking a few steps back. The statement was more for her than the dark haired guy. A while back, when she had found the beautiful mirror, Leila had taken it for a fortune teller. The 5th year with the overenthusiastic personality had taken it as some hope that she'd see this in her real world. But that wasn't the case. Keith wasn't getting better any time soon. Nor, was she ever going to create a successful News Paper Business. Deep down, she felt like all of her efforts from popularity to getting old, seemed rather dim.
"What do you see in it, then--?" Awkwardly, Leila pauses: both of her hands are held before her. She's watching the good-looking guy, who is speaking to her, lean against a desk. Even if this seems like an awkward question to ask, she can't help herself. No one else is in the room for her to question. "You said it shows a person's desires. I'm curious."

Leila shrugged absentmindedly, while looking at the boy. They talked once last week and she thought he wasn’t a prat. Which was rare when one was head boy. She’s trying to play it cool and not look so damn guilty but that doesn’t seem to be working with her still occasionally glancing at the mirror. “I know, I got…” she pauses so quickly that it’s almost unnoticeable. “lost. I occasionally sleep walk and woke up in here. It’s this rare sleep illness that comes from being a stupid fifth year who gets caught sneaking out by Head boys.” The Ravenclaw quiets down. “Yup,” Faking innocence, the blond places her hands behind her back.
Chase cocked his eyebrow slightly, shaking his head and chuckling at the girl. “Do you also know that I don’t really care if you’re out here or not. You just have to get back to your dorm soon other wise McGonagall might eat me or something,” he shrugged, settling back on one of the desks. He was surprised the girl knew about this room, to be honest. Only the prefects and teachers knew it was here as they were supposed to keep kids out of the room and away from the mirror, but then again; a secret at Hogwarts is a secret everyone knows.
