(A short hypothetical I made because I was bored and I think he's a cute little goober. Short for me being paragraphs long, as always, not a single person who reads my stuff is shocked, I'm sure.)

He always begs to aid you, whether it be by carrying heavy bags for you, grabbing something you can't quite reach, or staying nearby just as some extra moral support as you do something you've been putting off for a while, he always longs to help.
You think it strokes his pride a bit, being able to finally lend a hand properly, having you actually reach out to him for once instead of the other way around... He seems very pleased with himself, indeed. You decided to allow him to help you cook, he stands idly by, holding a spoon, practically motionless.. as always, as you fetch something from the fridge... Then, suddenly, something catches his eye, a stick of butter sat on the counter. How curious, it looks stiff and unappetizing, yet it might very well be soft, things are often deceptive while still wrapped in their packaging. He wonders about what it would taste like, what it would feel like in his mouth, and how nicely his teeth would sink into it. You turn back around only to discover him grasping your stick of butter, it's unwrapped like a candy bar, and he's eating it like a fuckin' popsicle. And you know what's worse? He's both licking and biting into it, like a deviant.
And at that point, finally, after all this time, you realize: He has a chewing problem. Not once did it occur to you, even after the multitude of times he's grabbed your hand from his cheek as you lulled him and softly nibbled on you, that perhaps, just maybe, it brought him a sense of comfort to chew on something familiar, that it was him showing you that he trusts you, sort of like how an animal will love bite their owners. It's a nervous mannerism, of course he'd be nervous, given what he's been through. WELL, NO MORE. He's getting a chew toy of some sort, maybe that'll help! Though his sharp teeth would probably just stab right through the damn things.. so perhaps something cheap that you can keep purchasing, will do.
Just look at him, looking at you like a confused cat, tilting his head to the side as he nibbles and slithers his long, black tongue across the now melty, dough like rectangular blob that was once a hearty brick of dairy. "Would you.. like some?" He softly asks as he offers it to you, you watch it drip onto the floor from betwixt his fingers as he body heat makes it melt even more. "No thanks, I'm good." You reluctantly reply as you fetch another stick from the fridge, seeing as that one has most definitely been claimed. "I like... how.. it feels.. between my... teeth! I think you would... too.." He politely urges, he just finds it so fascinating and wants to share the experience with you.
You sigh deeply, swallow any semblance of pride you have left, and unwrap your new butter stick and bite into it to appease the sweet goober before you. He watches nervously, the wings on his head twitch with anticipation as he observes your expression.. He hopes you like it too, he likes when you both like the same things! You hum dramatically as you bother to taste the different nodes of flavor, you tilt your head from one side to the other before you look at him and give him a big ol' thumbs up. "See? ...I knew.. you would... like it!" He smiles widely as he continues to devour your- his, butter. Well, at least he's happy.

I was going to eventually anyway, but because you asked so kindly, it's for you, champ. He's my comfort character too and I adore him, he needs more content PRONTO!
