She saw my last post and promptly said: “The Less Prolific Mod would like to add that she personally uses a heel raise to appear slightly closer to a normal height. True story.” It is; I’ve seen her do it. Although if I understand correctly the Anon was asking about just one heel off the ground, but perhaps she and her brilliant self picked up on something I didn’t. While I’m on the subject, rocking up on both heels (unlike our question) can indeed mean trying to make oneself look taller, which translates into feeling a need for additional power, possibly because of a stressful social situation or something similar (alliteration!). It’s commonly seen with hands clasped behind the back (authority, basically means that you can expose your throat, neck and crotch - the most vulnerable areas - without fear because you’re just that cool) or a typical standard arm cross over the chest, which usually means defensive.
