Corrina Reamer is a bright spot at a time when children’s reading proficiency is plunging nationwide.
In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. The reason: The country applies the “Housing First” concept. Those affected by homelessness receive a small apartment and counselling – without any preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected thus make their way back into a stable life. And: All this is cheaper than accepting …
“old white organizer here. if yr leftist organization is disproportionately white or otherwise not reflective of the community you live in, it’s incumbent on you to ask yrself why that is and fix it. most likely, you’re not making connections with other activists.”
SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — Starting at midnight, two Mid-South communities will be de-annexed from the City of Memphis. It’s been in the making for years. When the clock strikes midnight to mark 2020, Eads and River Bottoms will be de-annexed from the city. One of the most significant changes will be the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office having sole responsibility over the new county land.
Good deed memphis is back!
I’m back in the office after a much-needed tap on the pause button and already back to work. The donate button is back and updated. There are three options to donate to: Scarfs & Socks, School supplies and toiletry bags. Even one dollar will move the needle. Small moves equal up to big moves.
Thank you friends!
The City of Memphis is also expected to contribute funds for a research position and the position of a vice president for workforce development.
“One of the best things Dekalb County ever created is the mobile Farmers Market. It accepts EBT, travels to food deserts, and has reduced pricing for fresh fruits and vegetables. It really is a model and I want more of those buses in service!”
Finland is the only EU country where homelessness is falling. Its secret? Giving people homes as soon as they need them – unconditionally
Trump’s farmer bailout sends beef, grapes, lentils and other items to food banks.

Hope you’re having a joyful day.
The donation button takes you straight to paypal. You have the option to donate monthly which would be an incredible gift or make a one time gift that would be extremely helpful.
We are preparing for the sock + scarf fund right now.
Good deed Memphis: Sock + Scarf Fund
As fall approaches, it is time to begin preparing for the cooler temperatures. The city has a number of people who are without homes and will be left to deal with the challenges the winter weather can bring. If you would like to donate socks or better yet to the sock + scarf fund.
Please use the donate button at the top of the website. We could use all the help you can give.
Good deed memphis is currently collecting supplies for the 2019-2020 school year. Take advantage of those clearance aisles so we can maximize our effort.
