I never remember to write down recipes, especially when it’s something delicious.
So instead of writing my Jalapeño Sandwich Bread recipe, I drew it!
Included are the steps along with the final product.
This may have been one of the best loaves I’ve made to date. (I’m currently making French onion focaccia, so that may be a contender)
I made grilled cheese sandwiches with it and they were amazing!
My dogs (a pittie mix) destroys every single toy she’s ever had. Typical.
One day I got her a rubber chicken. That is the day she fell in love. She carried it around everywhere for days. To this day, when we ask her to go get “Chicky” she will run upstairs to our bedroom, grab her Chicky and come running back to us.
She loves her Chicky and that melts my heart. ❤️

I remember coming home from school when I was a kid and watching Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark while eating Andy Capp’s hot fries.
In middle school I’d throw some mini bagel dogs in the microwave and I’d listen to music on Windows Media Player (where I discovered many bands I still love to this day) and talk to my friends on AIM.
When I started High School MySpace was a new concept and that’s when my life would change, and I would lose sight of what truly mattered. I started to care about what others thought about me too much and I stopped doing the things I loved because I was worried others would think I am weird.
I’m trying to adopt that simple way of living again. Away from social media and its toxicity. When I get home from work I try to do some art or practice bass (learning a new instrument is hard!) instead of rotting my brain on YouTube or doomscrolling and feeling like garbage about myself.
I want to post my art occasionally because I want to document my own growth. I’m 37, I don’t care what other people think about me. I’m too old and tired for that; I’m doing this for me. I’m excited to see how I grow as I become more comfortable in my own skin.
