Cinderella 2015

Tomorrow I begin working as a dresser for a month on Scottish Ballet’s production of Cinderella. I worked on the Nutcracker last year and had a great experience! If you fancy a festive evening at the ballet head down to Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre!

Royal New Zealand Ballet

Just spent a wonderful week as a Costume Assistant with the RNZB in Edinburgh. They’re currently on their way to Leeds performing Giselle, definitely worth a watch!

I took a lot from the experience and met a lot of talented people!

Edinburgh International Festival 2015

This year was a lot of fun, I worked on ‘Seven’ at the Playhouse Theatre and ‘The Magic Flute’ at the Festival Theatre. Both shows have been totally different experiences but equally as interesting and beneficial to be a part of.

‘Oroonoko’ designed by myself and Lauren Aimers, brought to life for the QMU Showcase. 

The garments were made by a team of 1st and 2nd years, Aphra Behn (See third picture) made by Barbara Grant.

The Show was supervised my Lyndsay McIntosh.

The Nutcracker 2015

Working as a dresser with The Royal Scottish Ballet on their production of the Nutcracker, head down to the Festival theatre to catch it!

Cinderella at Howden Park

I have been working as Costume Supervisor on a panto production of Cinderella this Christmas alongside a team of 1st and 2nd years. 

Colourful and funny it’s a real treat this Christmas!

This summer as my 3rd year placement I worked as a Wardrobe Assistant on Bard in the Botanics production of Comedy of Errors. This was an incredible show to work on, a lot of fun and great experience. 

I worked on a lot of the garments, helping to cut and construct alongside Rachel Macallan  and Carys Hobbs (Designer and supervisor). One of the main challenges of these costumes was making the tartan match the whole way through. This took a lot of time and concentration but gives you the incredible results seen in the photos above.
