We are back! Sorry for being away for so long. I missed you too.
Today I want to write about something I truly believe and also reinforce the purpose of this blog:
You are in control of your own happiness.
Your happiness also can affect the people around you.
It is ok to not be happy all of the time, but people need to realize when certain parts of their day or past affects their present.
There is no reason to yell at the 16 year old at McDonald’s you took your order with no onions, you can take them off.
There is no reason to get upset on your way to work when traffic is less than ideal; everyone in traffic has somewhere they need to be.
There is no reason to put down the people around you who are less fortunate; you don’t know what they have been through.
There is no reason to go out of your way to hurt someone because they made a mistake, you have made many.
There is no reason for hate. There is every reason to love.
Whether you lost your job or can’t find a job. Whether you lost your significant other or can’t find one of those either. If you live in the present moment and understand what is happening around you, you can improve so many people’s lives. Understand that being happy is a choice.
This is a hard thing to grasp when things aren’t going your way, you had a bad day, or when something unpleasant happens. However, I assure you it is possible. I have noticed many unhappy people lately, and it is not the way we should live. We need to be happy. We need to enjoy this life. Being happy opens up many more opportunities than being angry. Being happy makes small successes feel enormous. Being happy allows us to improve others lives. Your best memories are happy ones. Your best ideas are created when you feel good. This is not a how to; it’s a reminder. Be happy.
We need to spread happiness if we are to progress.
