Martin Freeman Joins Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Civil War' 

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” has added another name to its growing cast with Martin Freeman, who will make his debut in the film. “From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in ‘The Office,’ Martin’s range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us,” said “Captain America: Civil War” Producer Kevin Feige. “We couldn’t be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.” Celebrated for his roles in “Sherlock,” “Fargo,” the “Hobbit” trilogy, and much more, Freeman has earned one Primetime Emmy Award and one BAFTA Award, both for his portrayal of Doctor John Watson in “Sherlock.” Martin has also been nominated for a Golden Globe for his role of Lester Nygaard in “Fargo”, and nominated for a further two Emmy Awards and two BAFTA Awards. But really though.

As much as I loved Age of Ultron, Pietro’s death hit me super hard.

The thing is, I’m a twin.

Not only that, but I’m a girl, and my twin is a boy, and he is older.

So when Pietro died and Wanda just stopped, I nearly fucking lost it.

Their relationship is very similar to mine and my brother’s, too.

The premiere ratings for season 2 of the 100 were so-so (okay real talk - the 100 is one of the bottom three of the fall shows on the CW). It’s the CW, so they already don’t pull in ratings that compare to the other big broadcast networks. But here is what you can do because if you don’t have a nielsen box your views don’t actually mean shit (it’s a dumb, outdated system I know).

Livetweet the fuck out the show. Use the hashtag #the100.

Tweet to the advertisers. Oh, look Taco Bell has a commerical during the 100. “Hey @tacobell I can’t wait to try your new ____ #the100”. It doesn’t matter if you’re gonna actually try it or not, or if you see a Ford commercial and tweet them that you can’t wait to test drive their new overpriced car. SHOW THEM YOU ARE WATCHING. ADS PAY FOR EVERYTHING IN THE US BECAUSE WE ARE MONEY HUNGRY.

If you live in the US - watch on Hulu. Online viewership doesn’t mean that much, but it still counts for something.

Furthermore, watch season one on Netflix.

If you have money (which I know most of us don’t), buy streaming on itunes or amazon prime. IF YOU LIVE IN THE US/CANADA OR OVERSEAS BUY THE DVD/BLURAY AND WATCH THE SERIES IF/WHEN IT AIRS IN YOUR COUNTRY. Repeat my tweeting advise with what ads are shown before or during the episode.

Buy the books!

Social media is really important when you’re stuck with the nielsen rating system. Get that shit trending. :)

Also, recording if you live in the US and have a DVR, AND make sure to watch the commercials. It counts if you watch the commercials. The 100 airs on Wed. So if you watch by Friday, your view will count for live + 3 day DVR numbers, which absolutely make a huge difference and do matter to all networks, including CW.

Even better, if you record while watching live, that will count towards same day ratings, which are the best you can do second only to being a Nielsen viewer.
