Okay, new blog name, new Intro Pinned!

Hello, this is the blog formerly known as not-the-coffee-machine4.

I created this side-blog for my Queen ramblings so I don’t have to worry about annoying people by posting about it on main

I love and respect all the members—as well as Adam and their current backing band (Spike, Neil and Tyler)—and am just here to have fun. This is not the place for shipping the guys. Not a DNI, just an FYI

I do my very best to credit people, reblog/provide sources and not spread around fake things and misinformation which I feel is rampant in this fandom. I am, however, human, so please tell me if I miss something! (With the name-change I’m also gonna be updating any now-broken links to my blog that I put in previous posts as I find them, so stuff isn’t just gone)

I do occasionally talk about non-Queen music on here such as Elton John, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, and others. Any of that is tagged accordingly 

Despite my prolific usage of “y’all,” I am from the Midwest haha

This blog is quite well-organized if I do say so myself. I’ll include my most used organizational tags below for ease of browsing ;)

Someone on TikTok called Brian homophobic, I commented that he's actually a huge ally, someone replied to my comment saying "no he's not" with a link to the thing he said about it being a mistake to get rid of gendered award categories or whatever. Great, now MY honor is on the line.

Good citizens of the jury, today is the day this pisses me off for the last time.

So! After a more-than-anticipated amount of hours, here is the Brian May History of Allyship. There are sources. There are dates. There are links where applicable and timestamps. Here it is a Google Doc. Here is is as a PDF. PLEASE feel free to share it anywhere

Access permissions are updated and the links should all work in both formats but let me know if there's any kind of error. And thanks to @theprophetsaid for their Brian's AIDS Advocacy post because that made finding some sources again wayyy easier.

So despite Strange Frontier being my favorite of Roger’s solo albums I’d never heard this until recently. It’s a cover of a song called Keep On Running (originally by The Spencer Davis group it looks like) and was intended for Strange Frontier but was ultimately left off. I wish the vocals were a little louder in the mix but he sounds SO good here (and some gorgeous high notes around the 2:20 mark too).
