Joe Keery said the viral second life of Djo’s DECIDE caught him completely off guard. The album came out in 2022, did its thing, and then suddenly “End of Beginning” turned into one of those songs the internet decided belonged to everybody at once.
What made it stick, though, wasn’t nostalgia for the Stranger Things guy. It was Keery writing about that strange feeling of going home and realizing the place still remembers the old version of you. “It’s time to rediscover who I am,” he said, talking about life now that the series has wrapped. Which sounds dramatic until you remember the guy spent a decade being recognized as Steve Harrington at the grocery store.
