“We arrived here safely though very tired & the sudden peace & quiet of this place was too marvelous. I must send you all my thanks for your wonderful work & half [sic] during the long & busy time which has at last come to an end. Please tell the Carruthers & Miss Heaton Smith how much I appreciated all they have done as well. It is now 12.45 & I have not had a bath yet!!
