Speaking of facts how canon are devilgrams really? I've noticed a number of people are fairly sure that devilgrams are "mostly" canon. Meaning that while some get referenced later, a lot of them don't.

So memory cards feel fairly canon. Or at least they're the easiest to back up in a discussion about canon. But demon cards....

Obviously I only read Mammon's demon cards. I don't hate other characters but I have limited interest in them. I like the handful of demon cards (mostly ch A) that are more introductory and platonic. I just don't like slogging through a bunch of obviously romantic intentions and flirting with characters that I have zero romantic interest in. So what does that mean for canon then? Are all demon card devilgrams canon even though some of them suggest romantic relationships regardless of choice? Is MC literally dating everyone? In canon? Or are we supposed to be more selective and interpret things based on choices? How canon can all of these devilgrams be when some of them directly overlap each other? Like how the TTWF invitation devilgrams all lead (presumably) to the same place the way the dance invitations in S2 of og did?

Obviously this is why headcanon exists but I still see arguments from time to time that suggests that every date card has to be canon and I don't think these people really understand the gravity of what that would mean.

The actual answer is nothing is canon and the lore is made up. The devs are retconning things from actual lessons (ex. Lilith's Crime and Punishment being one of the biggest examples). Anything that happens in Devilgrams (Demon OR Memory), Chats, Fabsnaps, or Wanderer's Whereabouts should be considered secondary canon at best in pretty much most cases (and a lot of it is completely inconsequential regardless). As far as romantic relationships; I'm pretty sure the devs are leaving that up to player choice beyond the fact that Yes all the Brothers, Diavolo, Barbatos, Simeon and Solomon are in love with MC if MC reciprocates is actively the players choice. Like, some of OMNB events are non-canon (as in cannot have happened in canon). Like, any event that happens in the past at RAD (which seems to be all of them up to the time of posting this) did not happen because MC did not go to RAD in the past at all. They literally leave on the day of it's founding. The most explicit example is The Demon's Gambit which happens while MC is still pretending to be a Demon and occurs in RAD as it's primary setting. It'd be hard to argue any cards that branch off of them are canonical if the event itself can't be considered canonical. While some events are dubious on if they happened or not (and some events from OG literally didn't happen because they were straight-up dreams or AUs). Oh, and one final note when I say "non-canon" I mean non-canonical to the main timelines because we should assume that everything in cards, devilgrams, chats, fabsnaps, wanderer's whereabouts, the fucking concert did happen just not in the main timeline unless there is reason to believe otherwise (and even then the devs might retcon it). TL;DR: It's Schrodinger's Canon.
