Their relations to animals seems very inconsistent. Levi has Lotan, whom falls under that more traditional “summon” role as opposed to really being an animal like the Henries, meanwhile Mammon’s connection to crows fits more with the usual idea of “familiars” in that they can do things for him. But the crows are also just regular animals hanging out and are not individually beholden to him exactly…. Then there’s Satan’s obsession with cats(and his thematic symbol, the Unicorn, I’m presuming nonexistent until the writers decide they want one for plot) being very much separate from them and much more akin to how we humans would interact with animals realistically.

Then there’s Asmo who probably wouldn’t actually be written to have an aversion to animals but lets be honest I’d bet he does. As far as I know this isn’t really explored at all beyond the most surface of surface levels… He doesn’t have any familiars nor any particular notable animal connections. It’d be cool if he had an allergy, or a fear of developing one, which made him prefer arachnids over other critters.

And then Beel… Well, assuming he doesn’t eat them or hunt them, I imagine he’s ambivalent about animals. They make great food. That’s all there is to that.

Sometimes with Belphie it feels like he saw humans as animals….. He says he “loved” them, but it’s quite evident that his love for them was much different to Lilith’s.

As for Lucifer….. fuck if I know. I don’t think he has time for a pet or familiar, and thus has not bothered to figure out how he feels about that. But it sure does feel like he treats other demons around him as animals to command… The Little D’s come to mind….

#cringe talk #i especially remember one scenario where asmos disordered eating starts to make show #that and his dysmorphia with his new demon body all accumulating into long periods spent crying or in bed #or just generally locked away in his room. and Beel is the only one who notices that he must surely be hungry by now #so he comes visit his room and brings him food and sits out in the hallway rather lost with how to deal with asmo in that state #in my heart Beel is still on that floor doing something sweet for his family #there was a lil comic posted about Asmo doing Belphie’s nails and im practically just co-opting that headcanon #when Asmo gets out of his funk and out of his room after the support of Beel he basically repeats the cycle with Belphie #essentially helping one another find security or letting them achieve some sort of catharsis that keeps em going for the next 2000 years

Torn between the ideas of “Asmo is a serial sexualiser & assumes its normal cause thats how everyone treats him anyways” or “Asmo’s all play because he’s trying to live up to this bestowed title of Lust and doesn’t even like sex/doesn’t like sexual assumptions made upon him and wouldn’t seriously do that to others” as the fanon itself seems equally split upon sexpest slut/consent king characterisations

#serial sexualiser sounds so bad but i really do mean it in the constant dirty jokes and other observation statements way #cringe talk #it can be both sure. asmo does not self reflect enough to have logically consistent behaviour/feelings #i just think that the ideas of everybody Presuming his sexness to be something he both hates and plays along with #but how that manifests in how HE treats others in turn is where it gets muddy #i feel like thats why theres such varying interpretations of how he would act in fanon #either all he thinks about is sex or hes a super consent guru whose all soft for you #like one objectively sucks more than the other and is arguably a huge nono for a lot of people #but the other one just feels so.
