And here we are!

Heya! New to using Tumblr beyond scrolling endlessly, so I have no clue what to do at all. My main haunt is being a Discord goblin, but I'm not quite ready to make any sort of public server there just yet. So, hopefully going to post here from time to time and maybe do some doodles (depending on whatever mood strikes me, although my main strength lies in writing and editing), but seeing where things go on their own is half the fun anyhow. And... what else... Oh, right, introduction! I'm Cam, Cammy, or Chameleon, whichever you prefer. I have a variety of appearances but my current one is best seen on dark mode this:

As an entity, I do not feel as though I have any core identity, yet I can shift and shape myself however I see fit and take up other masks, as it were, but being a being like this is what feels most comfortable at the moment for me. Depending on what I feel like sharing through this blog, I may introduce other characters that may also act as masks. For now though, I'm content with sharing odd ideas that pop into my head, any tagging suggestions are always appreciated if relevant and especially good thoughts, and I will do my best to have at least some semblance of activity on here (which I may help with from one of my partners).

FUN FACT! When I was comm'ing some art of one of my characters who's also Salem-shaped, I wanted to figure out if stretch marks would show up underneath fur, so I went and posited the question to my mom, and she noted that on her own stretch marks there was no hairs whatsoever, so as long as fur isn't more than like 2 inches in length, stretch marks will in fact show up! Sometimes showing the skin itself, sometimes as waves in the fur pattern, but they will still be there!

#I was actually kind of surprised by this #but when I was listening to her it made quite a bit of sense thinking about it #Since the skin stretches and the top layer contains the follicles #the lower section that's exposed to form the stretch marks wouldn't show or sustain any kind of hair #Bodies are fun and weird but mostly fun when they're weird

I always love having dreams where I never have to touch the ground. I can just lift myself up with a bit of effort and float. I often like to hold my ankles up behind me as I face forward. With a bit more effort, I can go much higher, but it doesn't last long without help from something else. One time I made a carpet square into an impromptu magic carpet

One of the more common flavors of emotion that I feel bouncing around in various layers of the Void that make up fear (there's more emotions in the Void of course, positive and negative and everything between and else) is the fear of starting something new, more specifically taking that first step. There tends to be an overtone of the fear of the unknown, notes of fear of failure, though usually a body of low self esteem more than anything else. The thing I find most interesting, however, is how the flavor changes after taking the step itself. Fear of the unknown fades, fear of failure loses its strength but doesn't fully vanish until confidence or success creep in, and any self esteem deficiency is alleviated by the loss of those fears, along with keeping the momentum moving forward.
