15 minutes after meeting the boy you're in love with he saved your life. 15 minutes after meeting the boy you're in love with you two became inextricable from each other because you discovered a whole other world together and almost died for it. he saved your life and you saved his and you are best friends and you've never been in love with a boy before but you've never felt the way you feel about him about anyone else. and he doesn't talk about himself much but you know that before you became friends with him he was alone (and so were you) so it doesn't hurt when you guys start getting more friends and he starts hanging out after school with other people. even though you were the first person who was willing to hang out with him it doesn't hurt because youre just glad he has other people in his life, because that's what he deserves, y'know? what kind of selfish shitty person would want to keep their best friend all to themself? and its fine that all of the girls in your friend group are obviously in love with him and its fine that sometimes he flirts back with them it is it's literally fine. I mean the girls are hot so it makes sense and hes REALLY hot so it makes sense and it doesn't bother you that you know he'd never be that way with you it doesn't. it literally doesn't. none of them will get it anyway. did THEY save his life? I mean, technically you've all saved each others lives a dozen times over because you've all been doing this for so long now but it's not the same. but also who cares? you need to get over yourself. he finally is surrounded by people who care about him and that's all you wanted for him really so it's fine. youre happy for him. you're so effin happy for him. you saved his life and youre in love with him and hes not in love with you and you wouldnt change a thing. not a single thing.
