Traffic was stopped. I noticed people starting to go around and knew right away that a car was broken down. I pulled right up behind him and threw my flashers on. Pushed him into the turn lane, then backed him up over the curb out of the way to safety. All the while everyone else is driving around us probably complaining about how much of an inconvenience this situation is for them. As I walked back to my car sitting in the left lane in the rain, I remembered why I do what I do: We are one Human Race. It's not about Black and White and Hispanic and Asian. It's about us. If we don't fight for each other, then we are fighting against each other. Race: Human.
