Revolution in bus tracking is coming soon...
Very soon!
It’s going to be legendary!
I guess it’s been a while now since our father died. I’m trying to take care of the ranch, but things have been getting unstable lately…the cows always seem bothered and frazzled, and I’m finding broken bottles everywhere… Who’s doing it, I don’t know…
OKAY THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I LOVE MAJORAS MASK SO MUCH.
In any other loz game, Cremia would have been a character that had a little bit of story, but wasn’t really all that important and after you’re done with her miniquest you would have forgotten about her completely.
But in MM, she actually has a pretty tragic story. She opens up to you, and you can’t help but feel for her. Her character is portrayed in a way that makes the player feel a personal connection to her. She’s experienced hardship, but tries to stay strong for her little sister, who she has now become a parent to.
Literally every single character in this game has either a well thought out backstory or very apparent and strong personality traits. The player has the opportunity to have a strong connection to each and every character. You can’t help but get sucked into and emotionally invested in the story.
I could go on for hours about this, but the point is MM is a great fucking game and everyone should play it at least once.

On February 26, the FCC is going to decide if the internet should stay free and fair, or if it should be handed over to the cable companies.
You don’t want them to pick the cable companies.
Join everybody on the internet to help the FCC do the right thing.
The fact that insomnia is a bodily side effect of stress, depression and anxiety is really counterintuitive. It helps with none of them, and is doubly shitty when you have an arrhythmia too, as well as a deep-rooted love for actually being asleep.
I do. I love sleeping. And yet it’s so freakin’ hard to do it. Has been for over a decade.
Ballllllllllls.
I had Insomnia, too. Doing sports during the day helps now. Or watching a tv show I already know on my iPad in my bed. Or Sex.
UMass BusTrack 4.0
UMass BusTrack 4.0 is finally out and it just got much Awesomer then ever!
Optimized for the new iPhones and iOS 8, the app is quicker and smoother to use.
You can now track multiple bus routes at once!
Moreover, it delivers an awesome Today Widget, where you can quickly see the next stop times, right in Notifications Center.
The iPad version now also offers almost all features as the iPhone version.
Go download now if you don’t have it:

Autolayout and iOS
I always liked that iOS has fixed screen sizes. With the new iPhone 6 this is still true, but due to new features, like landscape on iPhone 6 Plus, Apple recommends to switch to Autolayout throughout your App.
At first, Autolayout seemed confusing and somewhat difficult. However, after awhile you get used to it and it makes all sense and even very easy.
From now on, you don't deal with pixels anymore, you just layout the UI elements and iOS does the rest. Xcode also offers an iPhone Simulator with customizable screen resolutions. This makes it easy to test your App in any possible resolution.
And this lead me to one pretty handy conclusion: The iPad version of my iPhone Apps will soon offer the same usability, without developing everything twice!
Before Autolayout, I always programmed the UI in Pixels, because it was easy and I was not an expert in iOS development. When I started to work on the iPad version, I basically did the same UI again, but adapted to the iPad's screen size.
Now, I will just display the iPhone UI on the iPad and thanks to Autolayout it will automatically resize and fit in perfectly.
The UMass BusTrack App iPad version was always lacking features compared to the iPhone version. In the next Update, it will have (almost) the same features as the iPhone version.
The iPhone 6 Plus will mix everything up and have iPhone and iPad features at once.
I am still working on the update, but it will come soon!
Just testing Notification Center Extensions for iOS8.
I think this will be bigger then everyone thinks!
Those Extensions are literally Apps without the advanced views.
I can imagine, every App on your iPhone will have Extensions, just to get your attention and be available even while using a different App.
That is also a big difference to Android's widgets. These are located on the home screen and only available after leaving an App.
On iOS 8, however, they are always available. Just pull down the Notification Center and you can tweet, post on Facebook or lookup when the next bus is coming.
Luckily users can decide which Widgets should be visible, otherwise, it would get too stuffed up in the Notification Center.
Widgets I would love to see:
WhatsApp / Facebook Messanger / other social Apps
Eurosport / LiveScore
Apple's Remote App for controlling Apple TV or iTunes
Every other remote App I have
Every news App I have
Shazam / SoundHound
Same for Mac OS X.
A lot to do until Fall...
Testing out Apple's Swift...
So far very impressed!
Wonder how much time it takes to rewrite/translate some of my classes to Swift. I'll give it a try.
Update released with important bug fixes!
