Added to 04: I also do not agree with any of Joey Drew Studios’/Kindly Beast’s practices; this includes the firing of 50 employees, the issues surrounding Showdown Bandit and its demise, the “Bendy coffee” advertising when they haven’t revealed anything about their sequel game, or the fact they admitted to putting their employees through crunch to attempt releasing said sequel game in 2020.

Added to 04: a link to a video involving KindlyBeast/JDS’s bullshit to make it clear what I am talking about. it’s an hour long, but it’s there if you’re curious ig.

Added to 07: Certain aspects of canon may be present, such as the existence of Archgate Films and Nathan Arch, but these are on a case by case basis. It really depends on what I feel like would mesh well with the canon, or that I just happen to like (or dislike).

Added to the former 10/now 11: I’m not really as strict as a lot of these rules may suggest. For the most part, a lot of the rules I present here never arise as actual issues, and are more just looking at the exceptions (my actual experiences) than the norm. While it can be asked as to why I continue roleplaying in a fandom with terrible experiences or a canon that I criticize from a company that I berate, the answer really is just “I love my creations and I love the concepts that BATIM brings to the table.” tl;dr? Corporations suck, I’m an individual with a blog with an entirely different timeline, Gospel timeline go brrrrr.

thinking of verses is suffering.

i’m definitely thinking about a smash bros verse (licorice/blight and alice/seraph), a fallout verse (human chars only), and a persona verse (...which is kinda awkward since edward has the p5 protag as his main fc...but i can make it work...)

i’d go with supernatural if it didn’t rely so heavily on real life people as fcs, but maybe i could make a generic verse for that? idk.

oh, it’d help if i jotted down some quick thoughts about the dead by daylight verse in the first place, huh?

henry and blight (”the ink demon”) are a pair

joey/miracle are a duo killer (”the frauds”); the twins pretty much gave me fuel for it

joey/miracle’s associated survivor? idk, maybe human sammy

their mechanic is probably based on an older concept for joey being a false bendy, except this time miracle’s possessing him too

susie and sammy (”the prophet”) are a pair

i had an old verse for susie in which she was replacing henry, it works out

edward and seraph (”the angel”) are a pair

for edward, he’s probably a cursed variant of himself with seere’s soul trapped in his devil tattoo

i’m thinking seraph’s mechanic relies on her bow and her halo transformation; she looks like alice until she moves to attack, in which her halo turns upside down and she transforms into seraph

and yeah, we’ll see how concrete i can make these mechanic-wise

i’m actually getting myself to work on things, since i miss roleplaying a lot, so i’ll be making a little to-do list for this blog.

think about more verses (specifically crossover)

do up small muse descriptions

jot down the npc info for the npc list

do psds for the npc list

update interest checker to account for any new verses i may come up with

prepare a masterpost for the dead by daylight verse, as well as any subposts i may have to do (i.e., killer abilities, survivor abilities, etc.)

revisit my info for the animal crossing verse; it’s been since april (i think?) since i made it, so i just want to make sure that’s still proper

update sinwandering’s theme to something presentable, it’s still using my ex’s psds and clashes badly with the new aesthetic

and then some updates on what i’ve worked on these past few days:

finished psds for all muse lists except npcs!

added character info for all muse lists except npcs!

added verse descriptions!

added “npcs” to the link list, so you can just click it to jump to that portion of the list

hopefully 2021 is the year for a comeback!

began making progress on the timelines and muses doc! mostly copypasting the basic info and finally filling in the rest of the PSDs for everyone besides the OCs (which i need to gather images for).

i expect gospel will still be rather slow no matter when roleplaying, but yeah, progress!

oh right, i was working on a uquiz for gospel but i might actually want to use the little paragraphs i did in something else.

probs not in the muse profile blocks since i have a little system to work with those, but maybe as posts for more information, like a little masterlist for each one? i do have room for that...

as for the quiz, uh, maybe someday i’ll do something with it. idk.

i think for 2021, i’m going to be a bit stricter and bolder about my opinions regarding certain things. that being said, I’ve updated my Carrd with a couple of things, so my pinned will be updated likewise.

2021 delay for BATDR?

damn. stan tumblr user gospelofdismay instead of a corporation that refuses to give news until the last possible moment it can. at least i won’t try selling you coffee with bendy’s face on it.

right. let’s cut to the chase.

batim hasn’t been great during the year. my muse for my batim muses, no matter how divergent they are from canon, hasn’t been that great during the year. hell, my experience with batim was mostly only kept afloat by like...several very toxic individuals, and then persevered thanks to one wonderful individual.

i had a lot of bullshit happen while i was in the batim fandom. but i also met one of my best friends, @heroikos, within that fandom.

however, i suppose all good things must come to an end, or at least a hiatus until kindly beast/joey drew studios/whatever the hell they’re called now finally gets their shit together and releases new batim content that ISN’T a fucking limited-time coffee. yeah. i’m mad about that.

don’t get me wrong, i love my muses. i love the timeline i worked on. most of my characters rely on the timeline i worked on. however, when the base is shaky, the whole thing won’t stay up for long. that’s sort of how i feel regarding my activity on this blog.

i’ll likely come back here when batdr releases and i go over the playthroughs to see if it’s good for the timeline. whether or not it does, i’ll come back, because i get to see characters i love doing things again and not in a spinoff capacity.
