imagine your icon making you hot chocolate after playing in the snow
Oh yeah I forgot, you were one of those kids. Okay good because I left my phone in my other snow pants. *he furrows his brows* I’m only thinking because I want to be back in time for dinner. I heard they’re having a special spaghetti night down in the village market.
One of those kids? What's that supposed to mean?! [Laughs and shakes his head] I guarantee that spaghetti will be waiting for us tomorrow. Come on! [He walks up the side of the mountain until they reach the ski lift. He stops and turns around, glancing back at him] You wanna go first?
Yeah and I’m sure we’ve both seen a lighting before right? *Wilbur nods slowly* Okay then…do you have your phone on you? Just in case?
I used to go to them all the time. It was the only thing to do in my little suburban city. [Laughs and pulls phone out of his pocket] Fully charged! Since when does Wilbur Robinson worry? It's usually the other way around.
Do you think about him a lot? Your dad? [looks at him thoughtfully, and softly smiles] Oh…never. Seven girls under one roof? Forget it. And that’s just us. It was. I mean, you were never really lonely. It was a little hard as the youngest at times. Not much of a surprise, but I tend to cause a lot of trouble with my dad. My sisters used to get so mad and that was always the worst. A gift that stick out? Hm…there was this music box that I got when I was about nine. I saw it in a store window and was so entranced by it.
Wow.. It's been ages since someone asked about him. [Chews on his bottom lip and shrugs his shoulders] Yes and no? I mean, I do miss him a lot. But I like to be optimistic. I think about the good times I had him with, yanno? Sure he wasn't around a lot but he and I...[Trails off and looks at tree for a moment] He understood my mind. My writing. Yeah my mom supports it, but my dad would write down ideas with me. He just worked a lot. He wasn't around for my soccer games, Christmas, my own birthday.. [Laughs and shakes his head] But I know he cared about us. My mom says I remind her of him so much. It's harder on my mom than it is me. When I was 14, I knew I was the man of the house. I had to be. Who knew my dad would die instantly in a car crash that day? [Finally tears up] I'm rambling, aren't I? [Wipes the tears quickly and laughs a little] That's why I don't talk about him a lot. I can't imagine being the youngest out of 7. The attention was on me a lot as a child so I'd say I was pretty lucky. A music box, huh? Is it because your mom liked music?
Skip the tree lighting? Well okay I guess. Wait..the lift doesn’t run all night though. I know that for a fact. When does it close?
Yeah. Besides, they're just lighting it. We'll pass it everyday! Er.. [Looks at the ski lift, then back at Wilbur] We'll...find out?
You must’ve had the best Christmases. Mine were always a bit chaotic, but they were still mine y’know? Mm…On Christmas Eve, after everyone else was asleep, my sister, Andrina, used to wake me up, and we’d sneak under the tree and open one present, and just rewrap it after so no one knew. But I’m pretty sure my dad caught on because she was the worst gift wrapper ever, and there were some really funny, ridiculous gifts we came across that I think he put out there purposefully for us to find. [Laughs a little to herself at the memory, before smiling gratefully over at him, and squeezing lightly at his forearm] Good. I don’t really like losing people.
My Christmases were pretty awesome. It's when I got Woody. [Smiles to himself.] My dad helped me pick him out. Well, he said "I guess Santa saw us walk into Al's Toy Barn and knew you wanted him!" [Laughs] I bet your house was never quiet. Your poor dad! It would've been awesome to grow up with that many siblings. Do you remember a gift that stuck out in your mind?
I didn’t mean it like that, promise. I just don’t want to ruin our good time is all. Thanks Andy. [she scoots close for warmth, listening to him as she stares up in awe of the tree] How could you not want them? They’re cookies! Yeah…me too. I was so happy we got the chance to be roommates this year, but…we sorta never really got to be. Don’t ever leave for good, okay? I’d miss you too much.
Okay. [Smiles] But we are gonna talk about it. It's not good to keep things bottled up. [When she scoots closer, he drapes an arm over her shoulder and looks at the tree.] Well, my mom goes in a frenzy during the holidays. See, my dad used to bake cookies, browines and pies during Christmas. But since he isn't,..er around anymore, she thinks she needs to make more than she usually does. [Looks over at her] I'm not gonna leave, Ariel. I promise.
Would you look at that. -Smirks, looking at her watch before taking the small cup from him- Two minutes left. Good job.
What can I say? I dabble in the snow cone making business. That'll be one dollar.
getting new liam gif hunts is actually the most painful experience bc he only gets hotter

.
Th-thank you. *takes a few tissues and wipes her face, then nods* Al-alright. I-I can do that.
[Stands up and puts a cup underneath the machine, waiting for the hot cocoa to warm up] Tell me about some of your favorite memories. I'm sure that'll help.
*sits down next to him and keeps wiping at her face* I j-just wish I wasn’t s-so mean to him.
[Hands her a tissue box and frowns, shaking his head] Don't focus on the negative. Think about the good times you've had with him. It's better to cherish good memories, Dot.
*grabs his hand and stands up slowly* A-alright that sounds g-good.
[Smiles and walks into his room. He closes the door behind them and turns on his Keurig] Do you wanna talk about it? [Sits on bed and pats spot next to him]
