From there, Yasu was conceptualized!

Number: 408 tattooed on their upper left arm. It’s a reference to the HTTP status code 408 Request Timeout, as a jab to the fact that Yasu’s romantic interest in others tend to be one-sided and unrequited.

On the outside, many assume that they’re angry, upset, or aloof, but the truth is that they’re usually doing okay and they’re pretty observant. People who meet Yasu for the first time and get to know them for the first 3 months initially gauge that they’re withdrawn, quiet, sarcastic, and self-deprecating, but that’s only because they have a plethora of issues that impact their virtually non-existent self-esteem: not being able to sing and dance like a typical Vocaloid combined with their poor fine motor skills, social anxiety, depression, and trouble with social cues. One must take care in approaching Yasu, as they tend to glitch when nervous or anxious, especially around upbeat and boisterous people, and loud, clashing noises.
