OH, you might’ve gotten away with implying her stupidity — you really should’ve stopped there — but OLD? Well, now you’ve gone and done it.

The ‘lucky’ heather’s almost break in her grip, people were usually ignorant enough to believe her when she crooned about their nature; dusty purples and silky whites gently retreat back into the modest basket nestled into the crook of her elbow.

                    “ Oh, I am sorry, my dear. I assure you it                                was never my intention to offend. ”

Her voice is SICKLY SWEET. Dripping with agonisingly apologetic tones, like thick tree sap or honey, thickening the air between them. Then the bile restrained under the sugar-glazed guise is released, like a river breaking its banks. Features descend from a wide-eyed devotion to bitter, wretched MALICE. The oh-so-soft hand that had only just returned the flowers to their bed now wrapped its digits around the familiar hilt of the DAGGER. Drawing it forth as quick as the trout that leaps beyond the safety of its waters to snatch the fly from the air ( that can only hope not to find a hook ).

And he was definitely someone who could afford her more than the price of a few dying heather’s. As would anyone who perhaps did not wish to see him harmed.
