( It could prove to be funny, but sadly that whole concept of it working on human males kind of makes me uncomfortable. Draws in possible pokephilia vibes and well…errr, yeah. ovo;;; )
;;True. To quote my friend on Skype, “NintenDON’T”. Though to be fair I imagine it to be like Mr. Stenchy from Lilo & Stitch or Meicoomon from Digimon Tri. Not so much pokephilia love, but “Gah, you’re adorable and I can’t say no to giving you a berry or taking you on the grass the sign says is off limits!”.
Believe me, it’s disturbing enough knowing what fans have done to poor Gardevoir. I much prefer the pheromone thing to be more like a scent triggered Cute Charm than no no stuff.
eclocanyxn replied to your post:;;The realization that a Shadow Salandit can cause...
( Well, that’s awkward. )
;;If it did happen, it would at least be a chance for one of the girls to shine. And tease the boys for falling for a two foot lizard.
I just really love this Pokemon, it has to be hands down my favorite Gen 7 Pokemon so far. And it has an amazing ability. And I keep laughing at the fact that it’s canon that these little stinkers can mess with males of any species. Imagine a naughty or sassy female using her pheromones to wrap her trainer around her finger and get whatever she wants. xD
;;The realization that a Shadow Salandit can cause all kinds of problems for Michael, Wes, or any male trainer really.
Since, you know--
Salandit females not only release toxic gases, they can also emit pheromones that attract males of all species, including Pokémon and humans. Inhaling these pheromones may cause opponents to be controlled by Salandit’s will.
“Oh yeah... Michael seems really jumpy lately. He says he feels like someone’s watching him and accused Jovi of watching him while he was looking over our description of the bad man that took the boy’s Shinx. Jovi sometimes feels goosebumps too, but only when preparing for a contest, so they must just be nerves!”

Carell sighed and nodded. “I can do that.” He said, relaxing now that he wouldn’t have to make them fight anymore. They didn’t deserve it. After a few minutes. there was a knock on the door. Carell opened it to show a few officers. “Jeez took you long enough.” He snapped and let them inside, leading them to the closet where his captives were still groaning. He gave his report and ushered everyone out. The only one allowed to stay was Michael. Carell sat down again and sighed. “Well, now that that’s done with.” He said and pulled out one of the pokeballs he took from them. He could feel the darkness, the pain emanating from it. The pokemon inside was suffering. But he couldn’t let them out yet. “Soon, I promise you. Very soon.”
The Pokeball containing Marshmallow twitched, the psychic within not at all enjoying the familiar feeling the ball emitted. Michael touched the ball reassuringly, almost as if to shield the young Lugia from the pain of the other Pokemon. “Carell, if one of them is a Shinx, there’s a young boy in Sinnoh that misses him greatly. I really hate to pick favorites but we need to get that Shinx back as soon as we can.”
Carell bit back a growl. He didn’t like the idea of attacking these pokemon. They’d been through enough already. Will you at least wait and try my way first? I know the balls are tampered with, I could see that. I can destroy them after letting the pokemon out. That frees them from the corrupt hold. I don’t want them battling anymore. They’ve been through enough already.”
“I know.”
There wasn’t much else he could say because he’d been there. Twelve year old him had been in that situation, not wanting to make them fight after they’d been brainwashed into near emotionless things that only lived to fight. Arguing with the man wouldn’t get him anything though. And if the balls were destroyed, then the Pokemon could be caught like any other wild Pokemon.
“... You need to catch them immediately after crushing their old balls. Keep them completely isolated from other Pokemon. They should be fine with each other. And immediately contact me if they show signs of their heart about to open.”
Carell glared at the other, not at all liking the stance the man took. “No. We will wait for the trainers to leave and then we’ll do it my way. Your way is good for out in the field but I won’t tolerate it in here.” Carell stood then and walked over to the front door. He glanced out, wondering where the police were. They had to show up soon. He turned back to Michael. “I’ll keep these two safe until those thieves are taken away. If you want to watch fine, but don’t interfere.”
Idiot. Michael inhaled, reminding himself that he had to be patient. Carell didn’t understand just what the Pokemon he kept in those balls had been reduced to. “Carell. We need to catch them in a different ball. We can go outside if you want. The ball is tampered with. It’s why they don’t purify when others send them out or walk around with them.”
He sighed, gritting his teeth lightly. “I’ll... I’ll let you work on purifying them after. But we need to catch them in a new ball to even begin the process.”
Carell rolled his eyes lightly. “Yes, yes those… “shadow” pokemon you told me about. They each had one and I confiscated them both. I have not let them out of their pokeballs yet. I was going to after those goons were picked up. So they couldn’t influence the victims.”
“I don’t know if you’re brilliant or an idiot.” He dug a ball out of his pocket, placing it in the device on his arm. Updating the snag machine hadn’t been too difficult. He’d even managed to make it a good deal slimmer. “Let out one. Keep the other in the ball until I’ve caught the first.”
He let out Rocky, the Aron looking longingly at Micheal’s glasses before taking an attacking stance. They were going to have to weaken them.
;;gonna be honest, part of me being absent in the last couple of weeks is that I caved and made an immortal Calem blog at @xamaranthiney because I’m a slut for angst involving how much immortality sucks. But I swear I’m gonna be here now cause darn it I need to get to the amazing plot I plotted that helped me survive until my girl could pick me up.
Carell raised a brow. “I fit in huh? Because I’d sooner fight myself than use my pokemon?” He questioned. But instead of waiting for an answer he shrugged. “Well, whatever. I was actually referring the fact that I called them to pick up my guests quite a while ago and they still haven’t shown up. If they don’t show up soon I’ll be forced to give the two first aid, after I injured them in the first place. Do you have any idea how contradicting that is?”
“Oh I see how contradicting it can be. And that’s odd. I wonder why they’re taking so long.” He hoped it wasn’t a case of Cipher attacking them. Anything was possible when Cipher was involved.
“So did either of those guys use a Pokemon acting a lot more aggressively than usual?”
“Right! We have a list of current Shadow Pokemon caught in the lab before we went to Sinnoh! Michael says there has to be a lot more though. And we’ve yet to find the Shinx stolen from the boy.”
Carell thought for a moment before standing and going to a closet. Inside were two groaning agents, still tied up in ropes. Carell slammed the door and walked back to recline in the chair. “They decided to stay for a while, and they attacked-” Carell looked at his watch. “About thirty minutes go. I have to say your police force really sucks.”
Michael sighed in relief. Good timing. He’d come back right as they were attacking again. Though that made the trail hot. He released Pop Tart, the Sylveon immediately dashing off to pick up the trail. He’d follow it once he finished here.
“Well they’re not good at dealing with Cipher. Not really the best of news but it’s fact. They’re working on getting better though.” Not to mention the last Cipher rising had been six years ago. They were rusty.
“... You fit in well in Orre.”
@conivolusclosed
Carell shrugged lightly. “Yeah, they stopped by. Didn’t stay long. They wanted to take the eggs I have. But, Cipher is down two cronies. At least for a few months while their bones heal.”
Well maybe he didn’t have to worry so much after all. Though with how that was said...
“Wait. Did they slink off with said broken bones or are they still here? How long ago was it? I’ve been in Sinnoh, Cipher went quiet so I hoped to find answers before they recovered from me attacking their lab.”
“Okay, feel free to ask about what’s happened during my absence.”
“Or about Jovi’s newly budding contest career!”
“Jovi we have more pressing matters!”
Carell looked over at Michael when the man walked in. "Hey. Those Cipher guys you warned me about before. They have really stupid uniforms don't they?"
“They attacked you!?”
This definitely wasn’t something the scientist wanted to hear. He’d only left when his mom had assured him that things would be fine since Cipher had gone quiet after their first raid on a lab. For them to pop up while he’d gone searching for answers...
He could feel guilt churning his stomach. He should have stayed.
“Please tell me they didn’t take any of your Pokemon...”
