I finally made stockings for our pups, Indiana and Montana!
Supplies: Felt, Embroidery Floss, Embroidery Needle, Fabric Glue, Iron On Glitter, Jingle Bells, Scrap Yarn, Scrap Paper, Pencil, Scissors, Chalk
I used a piece of scrap packing paper from our move to free draw a paw print shape and cut it out. I used chalk to trace my pattern onto my felt.
I cut two of the paw shapes in my darker colors and then two rectangles for the cuffs of the stocking as well as the paw pads from a lighter color.
I used craft glue to attach the paw pads onto one side of the paw and the cuff pieces to the top edge of the stocking.
I used a blanket stitch around the edges of the paw to connect the two pieces.
I used a blanket stitch around the entire cuff to connect the pieces and to put a decorative edging on the top and bottom of the cuff.
I used my craft cutter to cut the letters out of iron on glitter material and then I used my iron on it’s hottest setting to put the letters in place on the cuff.
I used some scrap gold yarn to make a braid and then attached it to the corner of the cuff to make a hanging loop. Using another piece of scrap yarn, I attached three gold jingle bells and stitched them onto the cuff and secured them with a bow.
Now the pups have their own stockings to hang with ours by the fire! I can’t wait to put them up!
P.S. You can now order your custom pet stockings from my etsy store!
