Need a new podcast?
Oh boy do I have some amazing podcast recommendations for you.
* "Heavyweight" is at the top of the heap in terms of craft and construction. Its interrogations of every day mysteries and intrigue is so compelling to me, and Jonathan Goldstein is funny on a slow burn (in particular his consistent digs at Alex Blumberg make me laugh out loud). Two episodes that I recently loved were "Rob" and "Skye".
* Radiolab's "In the No" series is so intense and devastating so far, I'm only a few episodes in, but as an examination of consent and how complicated it is, it's a must listen.
* Scene On Radio's series "Seeing White" ... I'm awestruck. I've already learned so much about how whiteness has been constructed in America... and specifically how the legal definition of white was implemented as a way to keep poor people from bonding across racial lines, to the benefit of the wealthy and powerful... a sucker's deal that we are still taking part in to this day.
* And finally, for some lighter fare that I'm involved in, for theater talk with Eric and me, check out "Open Call" and NBA talk with Casey and me, subscribe to "Rule of Threes". And for musical improv listening, you'll love "Baby Wants Candy: The Podcast!"
Now get out there and get stuck in traffic so you can listen to this amazing work!
