I won't apologise for how long it's been. I stumbled across my old sketchbooks from year 10 which seems like a million years ago when actually it's less than two. This was probably the first time I had ever tried to properly do a self portrait. Surprisingly to me at the time doing this project at school was so confronting. One of my biggest insecurities is the profile of my face and I've learned to accept as I have gotten older and embraced it's uniqueness. But when I was drawing this I couldn't help but listen to the voice in my head that was telling me my features were not feminine enough, dainty enough, or just not enough. I suppose I'm sharing this with you because I'm proud of my body confidence journey some days are worse than others but there are more good than bad, and to show to others that you can learn to love yourself as cliche as that sounds. Studying for my art trials tomorrow and am now realising all the silly ass names art historians and artists have. Like seriously 'Jean- Francois Lyotard' your mumma couldn't just name you Steve??💁🏻

So it's been a while- "ain't no fuckboy"

Being held had become foreign to me and so had the flutter of butterfly wings inside my belly. Which is a strange thought because it makes me wonder how I lived so platonically before? Now I experience this roller coaster of emotion that both thrills and terrifies me, leaving me in a constant adrenaline rush. Every single touch is static electricity and jolts me to the bone as if I’ve touched a wire without shoes to ground me.

Whatever we have is good, and right now All I want, is to be in your arms😌

Started crinkling up paper, and drawing up the peppercorn leaves on the dissolvable fabric 🙈🙈🙈 all is going good so far, Have a beautiful day xx

Can you see something starting to appear?? : P I've started to resent the different layers because it makes it so hard to see the pencil strokes... But it looks pretty sooo, I might just have to deal with it. What do you guys think so far? Have an enlightening day and learn something new xx

Contour drawing has an unstressful feeling about it. Probably not the best example of this style of drawing but it was nice to just let my eyes guide my hand across the page in the search of the shapes that the portrait possessed. There is something about being consciously mindless in your own drawing style that gets you to bring it back to basics. To me this is like art therapy I'm too impatient for those adult colouring books, this satisfies my restlessness. Have a nice day everyone and take the time to collect yourself and ask how you are at the moment. If you can truthfully admit that it's not all going your way know that there's always someone to talk to, always a way to get around it, always a way to solve it. When you think about life as finite in possibility you are limiting yourself from reaching the supposedly impossible. Love @grace8apples, the girl with the thoughts xxx

Mmmm inland Australia good on you, you've successfully made it above 40 degrees Celsius! And it's not even summer yet. Can't wait to see the rest of your work for the season to come, I'm sure we will all enjoy the days where our sweaty bodies cling to leather seats, or the trail of liquid we leave behind us, as we stumble through our days drawing in air that doesn't really feel like air but hot. Oppressive. Puffs.

It's fantastic, my favourite is 'I walk the line' honestly check it out, the whole album is amazing. And I can't take credit for this, my friend actually recommended that I checked it out @themysteriouslights Literally drooling over her music right now!!!!
