👋 I’ve made a zine out of some of the Japan and Taiwan paintings from my trip last year! Some from my sketchbooks and some from afters. You can pre-order on my shop: http://grrrrace.tictail.com/ ☺️
Up a steep hill in Wakayama.
Slowly putting together a little book of paintings from my trip to Japan and Taiwan earlier this year...

Updated my website with lots of stuff recently... including some scans of sketchbooks from Japan/Taiwan earlier this year!

ps top tip: if you run out of medium to mix your oil paints with, and end up using cooking oil, scan your paintings straight away because they won’t stay good for long... whoops.
Short comic I made for the latest Day Job zine, reflecting on 5 years since we graduated 😱 😱 😱 😱
A small painting of the Dublin coast for my super aunt Siobhan!
Some of the process for creating the jacket illustration for Kaukasis, the new cookbook by Olia Hercules out this week!
I’m so pleased to have worked on this and thought it might be interesting to show how many versions and rounds of feedback it took to get the cover looking it’s best. Big thank yous to Juliette Norsworthy at Octopus :)
Been in Japan/Taiwan for a couple of weeks, travelling around painting and drawing. Feels so good to just do drawing for myself with no specific purpose in mind, away from briefs and Photoshop. It's wonderful and I never want to leave!
Poppy again having a post-pizza nap 💤
One month til holiday time 🌈 going to be meandering around Japan and Taiwan, can't bloody wait!!

Reaction when someone says 'what about international men's day?' 😑🙄 #givemestrength
Your comic about pap smears was amazing. Was it difficult to work on?
Thank you! Kind of. Easy to plan and make, but hard when it comes to showing people and wondering if it's too much information/something worth making a comic about. But I guess people don't have to read it if they don't like it!
A comic I wrote last year about smear tests.
I originally wrote it for a collection of autobiographical comics by women that didn’t end up going ahead. I was quite hesitant to share it at first, but think it’s important to talk about these sorts of experiences, even if it feels a bit embarrassing.
