i’ll be okay ── . ☆ kent fisher
☆. in which y/n gets injured during the battle with crackstone.
⋆˚❀ ❙ The Addams twins were great when it came to attracting trouble, it had been the most obvious trait of theirs once the murder spree of a monster—a hyde—began. Weeks went by and both Wednesday and Y/N were plagued by a mystery that no one believed a word of in the beginning. Slowly the two had been taken more seriously but it was quite a challenge to get to the bottom of the person responsible. Though, finally there were tons of answers with the discovery of Tyler being the hyde and Laurel Gates—Miss Thornhill as Nevermore students knew her by—being his master and the person who unlocked the side of him.
While Wednesday suspected Xavier and Dr. Kinbott, her older twin had the very opposite theory running through their mind. He had a powerful suspicion of Tyler from the time he and Wednesday realized the monster was a human. He wasn’t sure as to why he felt the feeling so strongly but as it turns out, he did need to trust his instincts after all.
When it came to who Laurel was, now that’s not something he had suspected, though he realized that he should have looking back at past events. She was way too nice. She was such a horrible person and she irked the boy so much.
This whole time, he and Wednesday thought that maybe they would cause tragedy after Rowan attempted to murder them, but turns out they were meant to save the school. The plan that Laurel had of resurrecting Joseph Crackstone would end in mass casualties if it succeeded—the twins couldn’t allow that, it couldn’t happen.
The resurrection part succeeded and Laurel stabbed both twins before leaving the crypt; she left them to die but the two were saved as a result of their ancestors. Their wounds healed themselves and they rushed off into a battle with the colonist normie.
With the help of their friends, everyone was safely evacuated from Nevermore and both twins fought Joseph to the best they could, considering he had a staff with telekinesis—it wasn’t a fair fight but thanks for Bianca’s quick action to stab Crackstone in the back and cause a distraction, Wednesday and Y/N were able to stab the resurrected man in the heart which ultimately caused his death. Again.
Of course, Laurel showed her face again but with the help of Eugene and his bees, both of the twins were able to take care of her by rendering the woman unconscious. Oh, how good it felt to do that after all the damage in the world she had inflicted.
Everything was now officially over—at least for the time being.
Though, there was one important issue, and that was the fact that Y/N had sustained an injury amidst the battle; a broken wrist. This wasn’t the first time the psychic boy broke a bone or even his wrist, but it still was pretty painful…though he wouldn’t showcase that.
There was one thing—well person—that was quick to come to mind after he realized that such an injury occurred—Kent Fisher.
After starting at Nevermore, Y/N had quickly friended the members of the Nightshades—he would hang around with them and that’s how he and Kent became close. Wednesday and her twin brother were similar in aspects that many would expect, but one difference between them was that Y/N was more open to actually making friends.
It was something he excelled at once he and his sister began attending the Academy.
Over the time he was at Nevermore, he and Kent had become quite close and even more than that, they began dating. The two went to the Rave’N together and often spent time with each other…that was when Wednesday didn’t need his help with investigations.
For once in his life, Y/N understood what the feeling of love was—real romantic love. To be honest, he adored the emotion even if he wouldn’t admit that to most people. The two twins also differed in that way, Y/N was a bit more connected to his emotions and would accept things easier than his sister.
He was happy in his relationship and he was completely content for once, outside of the obvious revenge plot involving Laurel Gates that was.
Most people wouldn’t assume that Y/N was even capable of loving another person, and especially someone like Kent. The siren was such a sweet person, which people believed was the complete opposite of the Addams. However, that couldn’t be farther from truth. Y/N adored Kent for everything he was: cute, funny, a bit air-headed sometimes.
He felt completely comfortable with him and it allowed him to share parts of himself that he never really showcased publicly. When it came to Kent, he opened up about different things that he normally might would find to be difficult, and the siren just listened.
Kent was the best boyfriend, genuinely.
The long haired teenager cared about the Addams twin with everything in him and he had a tendency to get concerned over such small things, so if he saw that his boyfriend had a literal broken bone, Y/N was certain it would be a massive deal. There was nothing he could do in order to hide it though.
He liked the fact that someone cared about him so much but he also hated being such a cause of concern. The boy typically had this problem with downplaying things, but this is something that he had been trying to work on.
He could already envision a scene playing in his mind as he walked outside of the school with his twin and two friends; he imagined a moment where Kent would make a fuss over his injuries and he was certain it would end up happening.
The group of four made their way towards a larger group of students which contained all of their friends. The sounds of footsteps and movement caused the attention to switch to the twins, Eugene, and Bianca. The closer to their friends the four became, the easier the long haired siren could see the state of Y/N’s appearance.
Dried blood stained his forehead from where Laurel Gates has knocked him out, but Kent wasn’t as concerned with that. It was seeing his boyfriend holding a broken arm close to his stomach that worried him the most—like the Addams originally thought would end up happening.
The siren began moving towards his partner with this gleam of what seemed like fear in his eyes—the blue-green eyed teen was not really sure about what to do in the situation, but he wanted to be there for Y/N.
“What happened?” He questioned as soon as he and his boyfriend were in front of one another. His eyes casted downward towards the Addams boy’s arm, which was still in its place against his stomach since Y/N had the knowledge that it shouldn’t be moved.
“Crackstone is what happened.” The sixteen year old grimaced before giving a detailed explanation. “He had something that gave him telekinesis, which he used to throw me against something and I fell on my arm, a bit too hard.”
Kent found himself frowning at the mention of the pilgrim harming his significant other, which Y/N immediately noticed.
“Are you okay? No, of course you aren’t. It’s a stupid question to ask. Do you need me to do anything? You probably need to go to the hospital or something, right?” Kent was just rambling at this point since he didn’t know a thing about handling a broken bone.
He personally hadn’t broken a bone since a couple years back when he was twelve; the reason for the break was honestly dumb but he and Divina’s mom had dealt with it. Such an incident was painful no matter what way you had gotten the injury, but he knew Y/N’s pain wouldn’t be easy to spot due to how he often got in the public eye; he never showed much emotion around many people.
The Addams twin gave a pained laugh when Kent began rambling but he had to admit he felt a warmth blossoming in his chest at the thought of someone caring about him.
“I’ll be okay, don’t worry.” Y/N assured to the best of his ability, all without giving any form of sarcastic remarks or jokes like Y/N would usually make.
“How can I not worry? You quite literally are in pain and have a broken arm, and don’t try to convince me that you’re not in pain, I can see through the attempts.” Kent shot back in a matter of seconds after hearing what Y/N told him.
Y/N used his non-broken arm to bring Kent’s body into a loose hug—of course being sure to watch his injured arm—and the siren was obviously weary but accepted the display of affection. It was a source of comfort for the both of them and after the day the two had, it wasn’t something either wanted to deprive the other of.
“Sorry for worrying you,” was all the psychic teen could murmur in the moment.
Had he been able to, the Fisher teen would have shook his head at the apology he was given. “No need to be sorry. I worry so often about you. You and your sister tend to get in trouble.”
The last part was certainly the truth but the long haired siren conveyed the sentiment in a lighthearted manner. He didn’t blame Y/N for getting hurt as it ultimately was Joseph Crackstone and Laurel Gates’ fault. He was just thankful that a broken arm was all that Y/N walked away with, though of course he didn’t know every single detail about what’s happened in the past couple hours.
Those were key points that Y/N wouldn’t say out in public considering the fact that both he and his sister had a brush with death due to some nasty stab wounds. He could omit it for the time being.
Y/N took a deep breath and gathered most of his thoughts—his brain was running more wild than he anticipated. He focused on the guy he loved: his scent, his touch, his caring nature. It helped ground Y/N more than what words could explain.
Nothing else was said for another minute or two and it was the first peaceful moment for the whole duration of the day.
Though, the peace was interrupted by none other than Y/N’s own twin, who feigned two coughs to gather the couple’s attention. The two pulled away—albeit hesitantly—and the Addams boy faced Wednesday with a newly formed annoyed expression.
“You’re injured. You need to focus on that. I know you’re easily distracted by—,” she took a pause to glance over at Kent before she’d continued, “your relationship, but you need to get that arm tended to.”
Wednesday finished scolding her brother and turned away from him and his boyfriend once she heard Enid call for her. She would never admit it but seeing her brother hurt as he was, it was something she hated. He was her twin and the two were close.
“She’s right, we need to get your arm looked at. You’ll probably need a cast for a while. I call dibs on signing it first!” Kent smiled and then laughed after voicing the last part. The siren already had tons of messages in mind for decorating a cast with.
“Alright, love. I have no doubt that you will be the first to add something to it.” Y/N was quick to give a smile of his own since he was comforted by his boyfriend’s last comment.
Y/N Addams was taken to the local hospital where he did indeed need a cast to help the bone heal correctly—it wasn’t surprising but his boyfriend were there to distract him and keep him company throughout the process.
The first message and most important one that was written on his cast came from the siren himself—‘Thank you for everything you have done, I love you.’
In the days following, he constantly stared at the cute words, and he finally felt like he would be okay.
author’s note!
this honestly didn’t have much direction so it is what it is, haha. more people need to write for kent and divina, they’re criminally underrated, i swear.
uh oh ── . ☆ tyler galpin
☆. in which thornhill kidnaps tyler’s partner and he’s not pleased about it.
⋆˚❀ ❙ Getting themself kidnapped wasn’t on the bucket list for today—all the werewolf wanted to do was follow Thornhill around as they were beyond suspicious of her. There’s been a string of killings involving a monster; a hyde as it was called. Y/N L/N was almost one hundred percent certain that Thornhill’s the one that’s been controlling it—and looks like they were right. How had things come to this? It was the million dollar question.
While Wednesday Addams was suspicious of Xavier Thorpe for being said monster and Dr. Kinbott of being said master—it was very much so the last thing Y/N believed—they’ve done an investigation of their own and came to find Thornhill responsible.
Ever since she began working at Nevermore Academy, she had been way too nice, and it was because she had a nefarious plan. She wasn’t the person that everyone thought; to be honest, the werewolf teen wasn’t even all that surprised once they began suspecting.
What surprised them the most was that the monster turned out to be their boyfriend of a year. He hadn’t verbally spoken about it but they knew him and they could tell that there was something wrong. The last time the two were on a date, they noticed he received an angry text from Thornhill and he left as soon as he found an opportunity.
Y/N wasn’t stupid and no, they didn’t want to believe that their boyfriend was the hyde, but their evidence pointed towards him. The question remained—why was Tyler forced to kill people? There was no way he was doing it because he wanted to…never would they accept that as an answer.
The werewolf thought they were sneaky but as it turned out, the teacher was aware that they were on to her, so she led them into an obvious trap; it being obvious now that they were in this position. She injected them with something that knocked them out as quickly as possible, and now here they were, sitting in an abandoned house with chains around them.
“Who else have you told,” was the first thing the woman asked them after they came to.
“What? About you being a psychopath?” To be honest, Y/N could be quite sarcastic and their comment earned a slap on their face—the right cheek to be specific. The woman’s action proved that the teenager struck deep with their words.
“You won’t be laughing when your boyfriend comes and kills you just because I want him to.” Thornhill gave a sickening smile.
The teenager’s expression turned darker at the mention of the boy they loved. “Why did you do this to someone as sweet as him? He shouldn’t be involved with you. You’re using him to do your dirty work and manipulating him.”
Y/N had always been protective of the boy, as was proven by their words. It didn’t even matter if it ended up with her slapping them again, they needed to speak their mind. He was such a sweetheart and since the killings began, they could tell that Tyler wasn’t okay mentally.
“Why? You outcasts shouldn’t exist. You are nothing but an abomination! Sweet Tyler will help me put an end to you, all of you. You’re not as smart as you think, by the way. After I caught you following me, I realized that. Did you think you’d get away with it? You are so stupid. You and Wednesday are a pain in my ass, but at least Addams hasn’t caught onto this yet.” Thornhill ranted on and on.
She took a breath before continuing, “I have waited years for this and I’m not going to be stopped by a dirty werewolf. Everything was taken from me! My brother was killed by you outcasts and so were my parents.”
The teenager fought the urge to roll their eyes at the woman’s obvious grudge. “You do realize that it’s not going to bring anyone back, right? I wasn’t even born thirty years ago when your brother died, so how is that on me? How is that on Nevermore’s student body? You seriously need therapy, Laurel.”
“You weren’t but that hardly matters! It was an outcast to blame and none of you should be alive anyways. I’d be doing normies quite the favor.” Laurel Gates glared at the teen as she was absolutely livid after speaking about her family’s deaths.
Y/N was about to argue with their captor but paused once they heard the sound of quick footsteps approaching. It wasn’t long before the familiar being could be seen by both the werewolf and human. It was relieving to now have someone else in the room and not just be stuck with Laurel Gates and her horrible obsession.
It made them feel disgusted to be in a room with Laurel Gates knowing what she forced their boyfriend to do; she manipulated Tyler, lied to him, and was basically grooming him. If the werewolf wasn’t chained up, they sure as hell wouldn’t take it easy on her. They did have a strong desire to end this all for Tyler; he deserved so much better in their eyes.
Speaking of the Galpin boy, he was shocked to see his partner sitting on the ground with chains wrapped around their chest and their arms. He stood there with a poker face but his eyes told a different story—he was quite honestly horrified to see the sight and that’s something that Y/N noticed when the couple met each other’s gazes.
“What is N/N doing here?” Tyler asked with an unreadable tone.
Laurel went to explain but was cut off by the kidnapped teenager as they didn’t want the woman’s voice sounding through the room. “I was suspicious of psycho over here and I followed her—turns out I wasn’t sneaky like I thought and she drugged me. I woke up like this and I’ve had to deal with her annoying ass.”
Tyler couldn’t help but want to laugh at his partner’s description of the woman but the boy was able to suppress such feelings. He was genuinely concerned about them since he was aware how Laurel felt; anyone that’s investigating the monster or suspicious had ended up dead or would be. That’s how she wanted things done.
Laurel had an angered expression plastered on her features and she moved closer to the werewolf again, striking their face again due to their sharp words. Said strike stung like a blazing fire from the force but Y/N didn’t see any point in giving the woman satisfaction.
The Galpin watched his master hit his lover and something primal in him was opened up like a Pandora’s Box—he was disgusted with the scene in front of him and all he felt in the moment was this overwhelming urge to just protect the person he loved. It wasn’t a want but it was a need; everything within him told him to protect Y/N with whatever means the action would take.
His eyes never strayed from his partner and their eyes eventually met his once again. He could see that they were in pain, most likely from being hit and the tightness of the chain wrapped around them. He attempted to his best ability to keep his emotions from being showcased on his features but it was quite a challenge.
The hyde inside was screaming to be let out but he fought over control. He hated Laurel, especially in this exact moment. She may be his master and the person who unlocked the side of him that not even he knew about, but nothing would ever come close to Y/N. Their relationship meant everything to him and he had a special bond with them that he didn’t think possible until he met them.
“You might want to shut your mouth, wolf. It wouldn’t be wise to get on my bad side, but I guess you already have.” The Gates woman seethed before focusing back on Tyler with a sickeningly sweet smile escaping past her lips.
She then explained her next command, “We have an issue here as I’m sure you can see. This werewolf has discovered everything so we must not let them leave. They could run and tell, which we cannot have happen. We have so much more to do. I believe the only choice now is to kill them.”
Tyler’s eyes widened ever so slightly at the mere mention of killing his lover—that would not be happening! He would never allow any harm to come to them, he would rather die if he was one hundred percent honest. It really wasn’t a concept that could be thought as it very much so angered him.
“Absolutely not!” He defied Laurel’s words.
“Sweetie, come on. We have much more to do and it’s getting closer to the deadline. It’s only two weeks away from the big day.” She made her attempts at reminding him of their plans—well, her plan that she forced him to comply with.
By now, his breathing had become uneven—it was almost impossible to control the hyde inside. It was quickly taking over after these threats against Y/N were brought up by the Gates woman. He couldn’t let her hurt them.
Y/N noticed the changes in their boyfriend’s demeanor and could see that he was closer to losing control. It didn’t scare them like the way most people would think; it actually had the opposite effect and made them feel this sense of protection and safety. They were a lot more relieved that he was there but they didn’t want anything bad happening to him anymore.
Laurel also clocked these changes and she took a few steps back from the werewolf to make her way closer to the Galpin. “Just do this one thing and we won’t have to stress. It will be over before you know it.”
Those were the wrong choices in words.
A darkened expression made its way onto Tyler’s features and it showed that he was completely pissed off. Laurel backed away from him with a questioning gleam glazing her eyes. Never had the boy been like this, so what had changed? He looked absolutely bloodthirsty and ready to end her life.
She then remembered something she read whilst researching hydes—the species could have a soulmate and if a hyde did, they had a protective streak and would do absolutely anything for said person. Masters actually didn’t matter in the case of a hyde having a mate, and more often than not the creature wouldn’t hesitate in killing their master if it’s a way to save or protect their mate.
“Well shit, that shouldn’t be possible.” She voiced after coming to the realization.
Y/N raised a brow out of curiosity. “What do you mean?”
“Me threatening you made him angry and he refuses to kill you like I want him to. What I say doesn’t seem to matter now because you’re apparently his soulmate. It’s tragic to be honest.” The auburn haired woman gave a sigh after revealing the important details.
“If anyone’s dying, it’s you.” Tyler shot back before he transformed into the creature—he was blinded by his rage and couldn’t think of anything else other than keeping his lover and Laurel apart. To him, Laurel was enemy number one who needed to be eliminated.
Once he was in hyde form, he growled at the auburn haired woman. Y/N smiled at this as they always knew deep down that he would never hurt them. He wasn’t scary to them—but seeing fear in Laurel’s eyes, they really enjoyed seeing her panic. She knew that he was targeting her and bolted outside of the old Gates residence as fast as she could.
Y/N couldn’t get a word in since the hyde did not hesitate in chasing after the woman, the mission being to do whatever possible to get her away from the werewolf. The Nevermore student was left alone and they attempted to break out of the chains, which would end up being impossible since the night wasn’t a full moon type of night. They could turn and escape like they wished.
All they could do was wait until Tyler came back and they were certain he would, but it was a matter of when. Time passed slowly and they were bored until they heard a loud scream coming from a little ways away; the auburn haired woman had been attacked and most likely killed but Y/N couldn’t find it in themself to care.
How could they when she hated outcasts and had treated their boyfriend so horribly? Not to mention the murders and revenge on all outcasts that she planned. To them, Tyler killing her would be poetic in a sense.
Speaking of, the Galpin boy rushed back in the room a couple minutes later, now having a different outfit on since his previous outfit had been shredded to pieces in the midst of his transformation. In his hand, they noticed a key and instantly they had a feeling that it was one to their freedom.
Tyler kneeled down next to them and fiddled with the lock. He was sweating a bit and he was almost nervous looking. All the teenage werewolf wanted was to bring the boy into a hug and never let go—honestly both of them could use the comfort and it was obvious.
As soon as he freed them, he helped them stand back up. The H/C haired being didn’t hesitate in wrapping their arms around Tyler and brought him as close to their body as he could be. There was a moment of silence but it wasn’t uncomfortable, rather it was a welcomed thing. Neither of them wished for the warm embrace to cease but honestly, so many things needed talked about.
Tyler was the one who pulled away first and his partner could see the fearful gleam in his eyes. They noticed how he couldn’t seem to meet their gaze at first.
“What’s wrong bub?” They asked after they raised a hand and stroked his right cheek, a movement meant to comfort him further.
The Galpin couldn’t find his words starting out but his lover was patient with him and had no qualms with waiting for him. He had a million reasons why he loved them but the patience they had with him and the care did make the high-end of the list.
Tyler sighed before softly speaking what the problem was. “Please don’t be mad at me—I didn’t want to do anything she made me do. I-I’m not that person, at least I don’t want to be. I wanted to tell you so badly but Laurel…she kept telling me that you would hate me.”
A tear slid down the boy’s face and it broke his partner’s heart to see. Tyler had issues in the past but he had worked hard on both himself and making up for past actions. The relationship he had with Y/N helped him get through so much and the E/C eyed being did always make him want to be better.
The Nevermore student shook their head, a half-smile forming on their lips. “My love, it’s impossible for me to be mad, at least at you. She manipulated and groomed you. She did horrible things and made you go along with it. It’s not your fault.”
Tyler brought his love back into his embrace and relaxed a bit, having the opportunity to calm down somewhat. What did he ever do to deserve someone so caring? He was the most thankful for the other teenager.
“I killed her,” he whispered as he closed his eyes.
“I had a feeling but you were ultimately right for doing so. I don’t know what she planned to do in two weeks but I’m sure it wasn’t any good. You stopped whatever that was and it makes it better that you’re free from her.” To be honest, Tyler being free of Laurel was the best part to Y/N.
Y/N continued by saying, “I’m not sure what is typically supposed to happen when hydes kill their masters, but she seemed surprised when you wanted to protect me. She said an interesting thing before—she said that I was your soulmate. I guess that explains why the hyde found it easy to defy her. I’d love to do some research on it but I think that means our bond is stronger than anything.”
Tyler smiled at the mention of Y/N being his soulmate and the thought made him feel an overwhelming sense of happiness. He didn’t know that soulmates existed until now but it was obvious that the two had that type of a relationship. He would do anything for them, as would they for him. It had always seemed to be that way, even when the two were just friends.
“It makes sense. The feelings I have for you, they’re so strong. I love you with everything in me and sometimes it’s scary, but I would never want that to change. I don’t see how it could though.” Tyler never had an issue with expressing his feelings to the person he had such an immense fondness for.
Y/N was beyond jovial after hearing what he thought about them. Their smile widened as a result and they couldn’t help but to place a gentle kiss on the side of Tyler’s neck; the H/C haired being rubbed their left hand up and down his back afterwards.
“It’s you and me against the world, baby. I’m always so grateful that we met and that you fell in love with me just as much as I had. To be honest, I feared back then that I wouldn’t find the right person, but I found that in you, and I couldn’t be happier.” Y/N’s tone was a lot more calm than before and it worked so well to further relax the Galpin boy.
The two remained in each other’s arms for a couple minutes longer before the werewolf’s brain seemed to remember that Laurel was dead outside of the abandoned house. The two of them would need to leave since they would be in quite the predicament if Tyler’s dad showed up or something.
Hesitantly, the L/N teen pulled away, which caused Tyler to almost pout since he wasn’t ready for that to happen. His lover laughed, it sounding like music to his ears.
“Bub, we have to go, we can’t stay here. We can go back to your place or I can sneak you into my dorm. My roommate is with their girlfriend for the night so we have the room to ourselves.” Y/N offered the options to the boy and waited for him to decide of the next course of action.
“Can we go back to your dorm? Please.” He didn’t want to go back home and risk seeing his father. Sheriff Galpin most likely wouldn’t return to the household for the night but the curly haired teen never really knew.
“Of course,” the Nevermore student assured Tyler.
They looked down and took a hold of one of his hands before the couple began walking out of the old Gates household. Tyler Galpin had driven himself there which was great as it was a little ways away to Nevermore from the house.
The drive was quiet but it was a comfortable silence that neither teenager minded. It was needed at the time but once they arrived to the Academy and Y/N snuck him into their dorm, the rest of the night was spent in each other’s arms.
Y/N L/N and Tyler Galpin were there for one another when they needed it the most and their relationship proved to be stronger than ever.
author’s note!
the ending is a bit rough but overall i love this idea and concept.
out of hand ── . ☆ ajax petropolus
☆. in which a party thrown by bianca and divina gets a little out of hand.
⋆˚❀ ❙ Parties weren’t out of the ordinary for the students of Nevermore—most of the gatherings were typically thrown and hosted by members of the Nightshades—the sirens and Yoko more often than not. In the start, it was difficult to get away with, but when you went to the same school for years and had an opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs, to say that helped was an understatement. So now, it wasn’t difficult to hide from teachers and staff members.
Said parties were always successful and the students of Nevermore—at least most—had greatly looked forward to them. It wasn’t too surprising if you stopped to think about it.
scary movies ── . ☆ tyler galpin
☆. in which tyler and y/n watch scary movies together and he comforts her.
⋆˚❀ ❙ Scary movies were quite divisive to say the least—you could either love them or hate them. Y/N L/N was one of those people who hated them…though hate was a strong word and she would prefer to describe it as a strong disliking of the genre. Between the grotesque nature and jump-scares shown in most horror movies, she never found herself being interested. Many friends attempted to change these opinions but none succeeded. The witch just wasn’t a fan.
So, when her boyfriend of a month came to suggest that they watch Insidious for movie night, she was quite hesitant. A movie night at Tyler’s house wasn’t originally scheduled for their weekly date but the weather turned gloomy, preventing their first plan. Rain was pouring down and it would be impossible to even attempt anything else.
