The day Tyler had been taken to Willow Hill, is a day you'll never forget. You couldn't eat or sleep for a while when he was taken. It had been a certain amount of months and days you stopped counting and accepted the fact that you may never see him again.
Anything of him that reminds you of Tyler would make your mind think he's still there with you. Coffee, autumn, sheriff cars. The worst part is that he's not dead or the fact that you guys didn't break up. He's just gone. Away to a place where they possibly don't see him as human.
In a way that wasn't fair but was to protect people. The news released of him being a Hyde and killing multiple people, put you in a difficult light too. People would come by to your house, asking for interviews or if you somehow knew.
You were even asked if you were involved in it. Cameras and security alarms have been set up at your house, to let you know when someone has come by.
Paparazzi and news companies stopped coming to your house because of this, but the only person you want to come home to, was Tyler himself.
The memories of him were starting to fade away, his voice, his touch, and his smile. Photos of him and videos helped you, but it wasn't the same.
But that wasn't the case for Tyler. He still dreamed about you and waited one day, just one day. Even if it took years to see your face again.
If there ever was hope to get out, it's to see you. He didn't care if you moved on or not, knowing that you were safe, even if it was from himself brings him a sense of melancholy. It's bittersweet, him stuck in a room with no light and chained up all day, but the thought of you is like home to him.
Laurel, really Thornhill known to him when she came to see him by the supervision of two other Winston Hill nurses, tried to take you out of his mind. Saying things like "they probably forgotten you" or "you would go for someone more normal."
Those words, he heard, knew that it wasn't true. You will be the one he comes back to, no matter how many years it takes or if he dies while doing so.
Fate called upon a night. The electricity at Willow Hill has been shut down. All the gates of every patient were opened and every one escaped. Thornhill coming to free him, he knew his second chance to see you again will never come again.
After killing Thornhill and escaping shooting cops, he stumbled in the rain, going to your home. It took him at least 30 minutes to an hour to reach your place. He unknowingly set off the alarm at your place. Panicking, he opens a window and goes inside your home. You wake up at this and try to check your cameras quickly.
Creaking from the floorboards downstairs came and you wasted no time grabbing a bat. Checking each door upstairs to see if there was someone in your home. The alarm still ringing in your ears. Flashes of thunder would light up the house
In the dark, faintly you see a person. It was hard to tell. A thunder lit up the house and you thought you saw a person quickly move out of the reflection of the window.
The grip on the handle of your bat was hurting your hands, but you weren't letting go now. Another thunder, you saw the silhouette again.
"Come out and show yourself"
There was silence.
"I won't say it again. Come out right now, or I'll knock you out right now"
Thunder happened again and you standing face to face with Tyler. You stepped back, tears started to brim at your eyes. There he was, in your home, in the middle of the night. His hair is longer, no shirt, only sweatpants and soaking wet from the rain.
"Tyler?"
Before you could question how he made it out of Willow Hill, he goes towards, grabs your face and kisses you. The clattering sound of your bat drops as you hold him, not caring if he was wet from the rain. Your tears dripped down and went between your guys lips.
Both of you parted to catch your breath, but he was still holding your face. He wiped a tear from your face with his thumb.
Everything he rehearsed in his mind suddenly vanished, the second he was in your arms again.
"People are looking for me, I can't stay here long... I'll put you in danger."
You shook your head and quickly gave him a peck on the lips. Both of your foreheads pressed together.
"Stay"
"Y/N-" His breath fell more heavily.
"Please stay, just for the night."
"Ok, ok" The last ok turning into a faint whisper, he nodded and held you close.
The rain was still pouring but he's dry and home again. Back in your arms, like he knew he would be. The rest of the night was holding each other and no words spoken. You couldn't help the tears falling down to the fact he's really home with you.
Nothing and no one will take you from him or change his mind-not even tonight, in your own bed.

☆. in which thornhill kidnaps tyler’s partner and he’s not pleased about it.
⋆˚❀ ❙ Getting themself kidnapped wasn’t on the bucket list for today—all the werewolf wanted to do was follow Thornhill around as they were beyond suspicious of her. There’s been a string of killings involving a monster; a hyde as it was called. Y/N L/N was almost one hundred percent certain that Thornhill’s the one that’s been controlling it—and looks like they were right. How had things come to this? It was the million dollar question.
While Wednesday Addams was suspicious of Xavier Thorpe for being said monster and Dr. Kinbott of being said master—it was very much so the last thing Y/N believed—they’ve done an investigation of their own and came to find Thornhill responsible.
Ever since she began working at Nevermore Academy, she had been way too nice, and it was because she had a nefarious plan. She wasn’t the person that everyone thought; to be honest, the werewolf teen wasn’t even all that surprised once they began suspecting.
What surprised them the most was that the monster turned out to be their boyfriend of a year. He hadn’t verbally spoken about it but they knew him and they could tell that there was something wrong. The last time the two were on a date, they noticed he received an angry text from Thornhill and he left as soon as he found an opportunity.
Y/N wasn’t stupid and no, they didn’t want to believe that their boyfriend was the hyde, but their evidence pointed towards him. The question remained—why was Tyler forced to kill people? There was no way he was doing it because he wanted to…never would they accept that as an answer.
The werewolf thought they were sneaky but as it turned out, the teacher was aware that they were on to her, so she led them into an obvious trap; it being obvious now that they were in this position. She injected them with something that knocked them out as quickly as possible, and now here they were, sitting in an abandoned house with chains around them.
“Who else have you told,” was the first thing the woman asked them after they came to.
“What? About you being a psychopath?” To be honest, Y/N could be quite sarcastic and their comment earned a slap on their face—the right cheek to be specific. The woman’s action proved that the teenager struck deep with their words.
“You won’t be laughing when your boyfriend comes and kills you just because I want him to.” Thornhill gave a sickening smile.
The teenager’s expression turned darker at the mention of the boy they loved. “Why did you do this to someone as sweet as him? He shouldn’t be involved with you. You’re using him to do your dirty work and manipulating him.”
Y/N had always been protective of the boy, as was proven by their words. It didn’t even matter if it ended up with her slapping them again, they needed to speak their mind. He was such a sweetheart and since the killings began, they could tell that Tyler wasn’t okay mentally.
“Why? You outcasts shouldn’t exist. You are nothing but an abomination! Sweet Tyler will help me put an end to you, all of you. You’re not as smart as you think, by the way. After I caught you following me, I realized that. Did you think you’d get away with it? You are so stupid. You and Wednesday are a pain in my ass, but at least Addams hasn’t caught onto this yet.” Thornhill ranted on and on.
She took a breath before continuing, “I have waited years for this and I’m not going to be stopped by a dirty werewolf. Everything was taken from me! My brother was killed by you outcasts and so were my parents.”
The teenager fought the urge to roll their eyes at the woman’s obvious grudge. “You do realize that it’s not going to bring anyone back, right? I wasn’t even born thirty years ago when your brother died, so how is that on me? How is that on Nevermore’s student body? You seriously need therapy, Laurel.”
“You weren’t but that hardly matters! It was an outcast to blame and none of you should be alive anyways. I’d be doing normies quite the favor.” Laurel Gates glared at the teen as she was absolutely livid after speaking about her family’s deaths.
Y/N was about to argue with their captor but paused once they heard the sound of quick footsteps approaching. It wasn’t long before the familiar being could be seen by both the werewolf and human. It was relieving to now have someone else in the room and not just be stuck with Laurel Gates and her horrible obsession.
It made them feel disgusted to be in a room with Laurel Gates knowing what she forced their boyfriend to do; she manipulated Tyler, lied to him, and was basically grooming him. If the werewolf wasn’t chained up, they sure as hell wouldn’t take it easy on her. They did have a strong desire to end this all for Tyler; he deserved so much better in their eyes.
Speaking of the Galpin boy, he was shocked to see his partner sitting on the ground with chains wrapped around their chest and their arms. He stood there with a poker face but his eyes told a different story—he was quite honestly horrified to see the sight and that’s something that Y/N noticed when the couple met each other’s gazes.
“What is N/N doing here?” Tyler asked with an unreadable tone.
Laurel went to explain but was cut off by the kidnapped teenager as they didn’t want the woman’s voice sounding through the room. “I was suspicious of psycho over here and I followed her—turns out I wasn’t sneaky like I thought and she drugged me. I woke up like this and I’ve had to deal with her annoying ass.”
Tyler couldn’t help but want to laugh at his partner’s description of the woman but the boy was able to suppress such feelings. He was genuinely concerned about them since he was aware how Laurel felt; anyone that’s investigating the monster or suspicious had ended up dead or would be. That’s how she wanted things done.
Laurel had an angered expression plastered on her features and she moved closer to the werewolf again, striking their face again due to their sharp words. Said strike stung like a blazing fire from the force but Y/N didn’t see any point in giving the woman satisfaction.
The Galpin watched his master hit his lover and something primal in him was opened up like a Pandora’s Box—he was disgusted with the scene in front of him and all he felt in the moment was this overwhelming urge to just protect the person he loved. It wasn’t a want but it was a need; everything within him told him to protect Y/N with whatever means the action would take.
His eyes never strayed from his partner and their eyes eventually met his once again. He could see that they were in pain, most likely from being hit and the tightness of the chain wrapped around them. He attempted to his best ability to keep his emotions from being showcased on his features but it was quite a challenge.
The hyde inside was screaming to be let out but he fought over control. He hated Laurel, especially in this exact moment. She may be his master and the person who unlocked the side of him that not even he knew about, but nothing would ever come close to Y/N. Their relationship meant everything to him and he had a special bond with them that he didn’t think possible until he met them.
“You might want to shut your mouth, wolf. It wouldn’t be wise to get on my bad side, but I guess you already have.” The Gates woman seethed before focusing back on Tyler with a sickeningly sweet smile escaping past her lips.
She then explained her next command, “We have an issue here as I’m sure you can see. This werewolf has discovered everything so we must not let them leave. They could run and tell, which we cannot have happen. We have so much more to do. I believe the only choice now is to kill them.”
Tyler’s eyes widened ever so slightly at the mere mention of killing his lover—that would not be happening! He would never allow any harm to come to them, he would rather die if he was one hundred percent honest. It really wasn’t a concept that could be thought as it very much so angered him.
“Absolutely not!” He defied Laurel’s words.
“Sweetie, come on. We have much more to do and it’s getting closer to the deadline. It’s only two weeks away from the big day.” She made her attempts at reminding him of their plans—well, her plan that she forced him to comply with.
By now, his breathing had become uneven—it was almost impossible to control the hyde inside. It was quickly taking over after these threats against Y/N were brought up by the Gates woman. He couldn’t let her hurt them.
Y/N noticed the changes in their boyfriend’s demeanor and could see that he was closer to losing control. It didn’t scare them like the way most people would think; it actually had the opposite effect and made them feel this sense of protection and safety. They were a lot more relieved that he was there but they didn’t want anything bad happening to him anymore.
Laurel also clocked these changes and she took a few steps back from the werewolf to make her way closer to the Galpin. “Just do this one thing and we won’t have to stress. It will be over before you know it.”
Those were the wrong choices in words.
A darkened expression made its way onto Tyler’s features and it showed that he was completely pissed off. Laurel backed away from him with a questioning gleam glazing her eyes. Never had the boy been like this, so what had changed? He looked absolutely bloodthirsty and ready to end her life.
She then remembered something she read whilst researching hydes—the species could have a soulmate and if a hyde did, they had a protective streak and would do absolutely anything for said person. Masters actually didn’t matter in the case of a hyde having a mate, and more often than not the creature wouldn’t hesitate in killing their master if it’s a way to save or protect their mate.
“Well shit, that shouldn’t be possible.” She voiced after coming to the realization.
Y/N raised a brow out of curiosity. “What do you mean?”
“Me threatening you made him angry and he refuses to kill you like I want him to. What I say doesn’t seem to matter now because you’re apparently his soulmate. It’s tragic to be honest.” The auburn haired woman gave a sigh after revealing the important details.
“If anyone’s dying, it’s you.” Tyler shot back before he transformed into the creature—he was blinded by his rage and couldn’t think of anything else other than keeping his lover and Laurel apart. To him, Laurel was enemy number one who needed to be eliminated.
Once he was in hyde form, he growled at the auburn haired woman. Y/N smiled at this as they always knew deep down that he would never hurt them. He wasn’t scary to them—but seeing fear in Laurel’s eyes, they really enjoyed seeing her panic. She knew that he was targeting her and bolted outside of the old Gates residence as fast as she could.
Y/N couldn’t get a word in since the hyde did not hesitate in chasing after the woman, the mission being to do whatever possible to get her away from the werewolf. The Nevermore student was left alone and they attempted to break out of the chains, which would end up being impossible since the night wasn’t a full moon type of night. They could turn and escape like they wished.
All they could do was wait until Tyler came back and they were certain he would, but it was a matter of when. Time passed slowly and they were bored until they heard a loud scream coming from a little ways away; the auburn haired woman had been attacked and most likely killed but Y/N couldn’t find it in themself to care.
How could they when she hated outcasts and had treated their boyfriend so horribly? Not to mention the murders and revenge on all outcasts that she planned. To them, Tyler killing her would be poetic in a sense.
Speaking of, the Galpin boy rushed back in the room a couple minutes later, now having a different outfit on since his previous outfit had been shredded to pieces in the midst of his transformation. In his hand, they noticed a key and instantly they had a feeling that it was one to their freedom.
Tyler kneeled down next to them and fiddled with the lock. He was sweating a bit and he was almost nervous looking. All the teenage werewolf wanted was to bring the boy into a hug and never let go—honestly both of them could use the comfort and it was obvious.
As soon as he freed them, he helped them stand back up. The H/C haired being didn’t hesitate in wrapping their arms around Tyler and brought him as close to their body as he could be. There was a moment of silence but it wasn’t uncomfortable, rather it was a welcomed thing. Neither of them wished for the warm embrace to cease but honestly, so many things needed talked about.
Tyler was the one who pulled away first and his partner could see the fearful gleam in his eyes. They noticed how he couldn’t seem to meet their gaze at first.
“What’s wrong bub?” They asked after they raised a hand and stroked his right cheek, a movement meant to comfort him further.
The Galpin couldn’t find his words starting out but his lover was patient with him and had no qualms with waiting for him. He had a million reasons why he loved them but the patience they had with him and the care did make the high-end of the list.
Tyler sighed before softly speaking what the problem was. “Please don’t be mad at me—I didn’t want to do anything she made me do. I-I’m not that person, at least I don’t want to be. I wanted to tell you so badly but Laurel…she kept telling me that you would hate me.”
A tear slid down the boy’s face and it broke his partner’s heart to see. Tyler had issues in the past but he had worked hard on both himself and making up for past actions. The relationship he had with Y/N helped him get through so much and the E/C eyed being did always make him want to be better.
The Nevermore student shook their head, a half-smile forming on their lips. “My love, it’s impossible for me to be mad, at least at you. She manipulated and groomed you. She did horrible things and made you go along with it. It’s not your fault.”
Tyler brought his love back into his embrace and relaxed a bit, having the opportunity to calm down somewhat. What did he ever do to deserve someone so caring? He was the most thankful for the other teenager.
“I killed her,” he whispered as he closed his eyes.
“I had a feeling but you were ultimately right for doing so. I don’t know what she planned to do in two weeks but I’m sure it wasn’t any good. You stopped whatever that was and it makes it better that you’re free from her.” To be honest, Tyler being free of Laurel was the best part to Y/N.
Y/N continued by saying, “I’m not sure what is typically supposed to happen when hydes kill their masters, but she seemed surprised when you wanted to protect me. She said an interesting thing before—she said that I was your soulmate. I guess that explains why the hyde found it easy to defy her. I’d love to do some research on it but I think that means our bond is stronger than anything.”
Tyler smiled at the mention of Y/N being his soulmate and the thought made him feel an overwhelming sense of happiness. He didn’t know that soulmates existed until now but it was obvious that the two had that type of a relationship. He would do anything for them, as would they for him. It had always seemed to be that way, even when the two were just friends.
“It makes sense. The feelings I have for you, they’re so strong. I love you with everything in me and sometimes it’s scary, but I would never want that to change. I don’t see how it could though.” Tyler never had an issue with expressing his feelings to the person he had such an immense fondness for.
Y/N was beyond jovial after hearing what he thought about them. Their smile widened as a result and they couldn’t help but to place a gentle kiss on the side of Tyler’s neck; the H/C haired being rubbed their left hand up and down his back afterwards.
“It’s you and me against the world, baby. I’m always so grateful that we met and that you fell in love with me just as much as I had. To be honest, I feared back then that I wouldn’t find the right person, but I found that in you, and I couldn’t be happier.” Y/N’s tone was a lot more calm than before and it worked so well to further relax the Galpin boy.
The two remained in each other’s arms for a couple minutes longer before the werewolf’s brain seemed to remember that Laurel was dead outside of the abandoned house. The two of them would need to leave since they would be in quite the predicament if Tyler’s dad showed up or something.
Hesitantly, the L/N teen pulled away, which caused Tyler to almost pout since he wasn’t ready for that to happen. His lover laughed, it sounding like music to his ears.
“Bub, we have to go, we can’t stay here. We can go back to your place or I can sneak you into my dorm. My roommate is with their girlfriend for the night so we have the room to ourselves.” Y/N offered the options to the boy and waited for him to decide of the next course of action.
“Can we go back to your dorm? Please.” He didn’t want to go back home and risk seeing his father. Sheriff Galpin most likely wouldn’t return to the household for the night but the curly haired teen never really knew.
“Of course,” the Nevermore student assured Tyler.
They looked down and took a hold of one of his hands before the couple began walking out of the old Gates household. Tyler Galpin had driven himself there which was great as it was a little ways away to Nevermore from the house.
The drive was quiet but it was a comfortable silence that neither teenager minded. It was needed at the time but once they arrived to the Academy and Y/N snuck him into their dorm, the rest of the night was spent in each other’s arms.
Y/N L/N and Tyler Galpin were there for one another when they needed it the most and their relationship proved to be stronger than ever.
author’s note!
the ending is a bit rough but overall i love this idea and concept.
Over the next three weeks, Y/N came to visit her every night in Ophelia Hall’s dormitory.
She would sit without asking, next to Wednesday, the mattress slowly giving under her weight. With slow, careful movements, she untangled Wednesday’s braids, her fingers gliding through the black-as-ink hair, patiently working out every knot with an almost reverent devotion. The brush followed, sliding down the glossy strands with a delicacy that seemed to suspend time. Wednesday slowly tilted her head back, the hair cascading like silk over her shoulders. Her pale, tense throat was left exposed—a gesture that would have seemed submissive to anyone else, but for her was only silent acquiescence.
The brush continued to glide, ever slower.
Wednesday remembered the sensation of her muscles loosening, her mind drifting away from all logic. The plan, in hindsight, had been a flimsy excuse: on those nights, there had been nothing but Y/N’s warmth and the silence they had stubbornly chosen not to break.
Why does loving you make me feel wrong even when isnt’s wrong?
Something had shifted between them… Or was it the result of a devotion destined to shatter her black heart?
Until my last dying breath
I can savor the lies you tell me
that always fall from your lips…
Lies or truth, what did it really matter?
Wednesday blinked, pulling her attention back from the haze of memory and forcing herself to focus. Her jaw clenched slightly. Then her eyes—Enid’s blue—drifted toward that hand that did not belong to her, nails painted in bright colors, so alien to her austere style. A shiver ran through her: it was like observing a familiar object distorted, a detail betraying the person she was “wearing.”
Torn between the plan to make Enid jealous and the rush to uncover the mystery surrounding the Galpin family, Wednesday most of all wanted to regain her psychic powers, long lost from having forced them too hard.
She had confessed to her grandmother that she had lost her powers, while the woman, impassive, aimed her old rifle at a flying target.
“There is a way,” she had said, pulling the trigger and hitting the mark without even glancing away. “The grave of Rosaline Rotwood. A guide for the crows… just like us.”
That night, Wednesday followed the instructions to the cemetery. The marble of the tomb was cold and dewy under her hand. Her head snapped back: before her, suspended in the air, appeared the ethereal figure of Rosaline.
“I can show you everything you wish to see,” the spirit whispered, her voice like wind through branches. “But the price is high: during the vision, your palm must remain over the flame of a candle. If you break contact, the flame will punish you.”
The candle lit itself, a tongue of fire waiting for her decision.
Wednesday placed her hand on the flame without the slightest tremor. The heat bit her skin, but she did not move. The shadows around her dissolved into a whirl of images: fragments of faces, rooms she had never seen, distant whispers.
Just as the vision reached its peak—that point that must never be interrupted—she felt a sudden force pulling her backward.
The world shattered in a flash of darkness. The last image burned into her mind was Enid’s face, leaning over her, eyes wide with alarm.
The following morning, she discovered that they had switched bodies… And wasn’t it ironic that she was in the body her girlfriend was in love with?
Wednesday blinked Enid’s blue eyes, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear before stiffening her shoulders as a hand rested on her shoulder. Instinctively, she raised both arms, grabbed the intruding hand, and pulled it down with all her strength, spinning in a move that would have sent anyone crashing to the floor.
In Enid’s body, Wednesday almost recoiled in horror at seeing Y/N on the ground, her breath caught and eyes squeezed shut from the impact.
“Ouch…” Y/N muttered, sitting up slightly in pain.
Wednesday clenched her fingers into fists, then let them slide along the body. Her chin tilted as she watched Y/N rise, face down as she brushed off her clothes. Wednesday observed without blinking, guilt constricting her throat like a painful vise. Her jaw tightened, feeling the cold skin under the contact of the black hoodie.
“Have you seen Wednesday?” Y/N asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear while her free hand brushed off the last traces of dirt from her uniform.
Y/N looked expectantly up at her.
Is she looking for me? Wednesday thought mentally, her heart skipping a beat.
“For what reason are you looking for her?” she asked coldly, pulling the sleeve of the black hoodie over her hands.
Y/N smiled from ear to ear. “She’s my girlfriend? And I’m worried about her,” she muttered quickly, frowning. “This morning I saw her wearing your clothes, Enid…” She shivered slightly. “Watching her dance and smile was so strange…” One corner of her lips lifted. “But… she’s cute.”
I’m allergic to colors, Wednesday thought bitterly, that stupid werewolf.
Wednesday exhaled loudly through her nose, fingers curling into fists until her nails carved half-moons into her palms. Her heart pounded in her chest, stomach twisting, blood roaring in her ears. Enid’s cheeks flushed red as Wednesday averted her gaze downward. Y/N called her cute. And she’s worried about her, she realized.
Her jaw clenched as she swallowed audibly, locking eyes with Y/N. The girl moved impatiently, fists clenching as she slowly lost patience waiting for Sinclair’s response.
“Thanks for your help.” Y/N rolled her eyes upward and leaned forward, concern painted on her face. She passed by, but Wednesday reached out and clasped her fingers around her wrist.
“Why do you care about her? You don’t even know her,” she said monotonously, though curiosity laced the question.
Y/N looked at her, confused, jaw tense, attempting a smile. The offense was evident in her features, eyes darting to Enid’s hand before returning to meet hers.
“Wednesday has her quirks,” Y/N began, voice calm but precise. “She hates bright colors, organizes everything perfectly, stirs her teaspoon counterclockwise and taps it twice on the edge, curls her tongue when she writes, hates people touching her hair… but she tries with me. She only plays cello when she needs to clear her mind, and if something distracts her she lowers her gaze, inhales, then picks up at the exact note. She takes my favorite meal in the cafeteria even if she doesn’t like it, and her eyes sparkle when she talks about death.” Y/N paused, a light, unintentional smile on her lips. “I’m learning to know her, and I realized I have feelings for her. Really, this time.”
Wednesday froze in place, eyes wide, breath caught in her throat.
“So before you judge… make sure you don’t say nonsense,” Y/N said, releasing Enid’s hand and taking two steps forward, then stopping abruptly.
Y/N had stiffened her shoulders, and from where Wednesday stood, she could see her jaw tighten, biting her lower lip as if weighing whether or not to speak her mind.
“You know?” Y/N began, exhaling softly. “I was in love with you once.” Her tone was neutral, almost nostalgic.
“I asked Wednesday to help me make you jealous. Surprisingly, she agreed, and it was the best choice I could have made,” she confessed, her voice husky and deep. Her eyes shifted to Enid, tilting her head slightly, lips curving in a sideways smile. Then she turned to go search for the real Wednesday.
Wednesday stood rigid, confused.
But she had to follow.
(...)
Y/N was surprisingly fast, and Wednesday lost sight of her.
Enid—or rather, Wednesday in Enid’s body—walked with a rigid back, her steps slow and deliberate, the floor of Nevermore Academy creaking lightly beneath her feet. Her fingers played along the edge of the black hoodie, nails brushing against a loose thread, feeling the rough fabric under her tips.
Enid’s blue eyes darted between the students. The buzz of chatter and laughter, amplified by the werewolf senses, hit her ears like a roaring storm: every laugh too loud, every whisper, every footstep amplified and sharp, sending a pulsating pain through her temples. Wednesday furrowed her brows, closed her eyelids, and clenched her jaw, trying to ignore the overwhelming sensation. Her hands clenched into fists until her knuckles went white.
How does Enid endure this every day? Wednesday thought.
She exhaled loudly through her lips, tilting her chin down and squinting her eyes, assuming her usual posture. Wednesday wrinkled her nose at the mix of scents—sweat and general body odor—and felt disgusted. But she could turn it to her advantage, she thought mentally.
Focus… locate Y/N’s scent.
She closed her eyes, slowly moving them beneath her eyelids as if scanning the very air, concentrating to evoke Y/N’s familiar smell.
Vanilla… vanilla, Wednesday told herself.
For a moment, she caught it, but a wave of pheromones, moss, and a pungent wet-dog odor overpowered her, forcing a mental misstep.
Disgusting.
She opened her eyes and saw Bruno approach, grinning widely as he looked at her intensely. Wednesday clenched her jaw and quickened her pace, trying to calm her racing thoughts. The olive-toned werewolf boy adjusted his jacket, the emblem of his dorm gleaming faintly, his expression a mixture of confusion and concern.
“Enid?” Bruno murmured, frowning.
“Not now, Bruno” Wednesday replied coldly, her tone neutral.
She turned the corner and stopped abruptly. Y/N had her hands around Wednesday’s waist, her thumb grazing the crest of the iliac bone. Enid—in Wednesday’s body—tilted her head upward to meet Y/N’s gaze, jaw sharp, a nervous smile curling her lips at something Y/N had whispered.
A smile that highlighted her dimples.
Wednesday found herself holding her breath.
Addams hands hovered above Y/N’s shoulders, arms tense as if she weren’t sure whether to pull her closer or gently push her away. Y/N smiled softly, her right hand lifting from Wednesday’s side to trace one of Wednesday Addams’ braids.
Enid—in Wednesday’s body—watched Y/N’s touch, stiffening as the fingers slowly moved up her body.
Y/N’s index finger nudged the tip of Wednesday’s nose, pressing her fingertip against her cheek, spreading her other fingers to cup the right side of the gothic girl’s face.
Wednesday—in Enid’s body—clenched her jaw, jealousy boiling in her chest, an animalistic urge to protect what was hers surging uncontrollably. What’s happening? Why is Enid’s body reacting like this? she thought, baffled. I feel… a need to protect… to claim... Wednesday forced herself to resist, but Enid body ignored her commands.
Enid’s nails extended, long and sharp.
She lunged at the pair, gripping Wednesday’s black uniform in a firm fist and yanking her away from Y/N, the body moving with a will of its own.
Wednesday’s eyes widened in sheer panic, her face contorted in a mask of terror. Unconsciously, Wednesday—in Enid’s body—shoved her against the corridor wall. Wednesday let out a guttural sound of pain, lips stretched into a nervous smile, her brown eyes darting across every inch of Enid’s impassive face.
Then she lifted her other arm, pressing her forearm firmly against Wednesday’s neck, while Wednesday raised her arms to grasp Enid’s, struggling to break free.
“Wednesday!” Enid cried from Wednesday body, voice high and tinged with panic. Her bang stuck to her forehead with sweat, brows furrowed, mouth gasping for air.
“Focus! I know the alpha side wants to protect Y/N, but I’m not a threat!” Enid reminded her, voice hoarse and deep.
Wednesday watched intently as her already pale face drained further of color.
Don’t hurt yourself, she reminded herself.
But her forearm pressed harder, Wednesday’s black nails scratching her skin in desperate attempts to free herself, long red streaks marking her struggle. A guttural sound escaped Enid’s throat as she leaned forward, eyelids lowering, eyes locking with Wednesday’s. Tears began to stream down Wednesday’s face, fear etched into her delicate features.
Her eye corners reddened, oxygen fading from her system.
Her Cupid’s bow lips parted further, breath broken.
Enid’s nose pressed against Wednesday’s carotid, nearly able to smell the fear in the rapid heartbeat beneath her chest. She growled softly, leaning toward Wednesday’s ear, warm, heavy breath brushing past.
“She’s mine…” she whispered, a low growl vibrating through her teeth.
A sharp ringing pierced Wednesday’s temples, the corridor stretching and bending in her perception as the grip held firm.
Her eyes began to close, vertigo washing over her, waves of heat and cold alternating down her spine.
“Clear…” Wednesday Addams murmured, her voice a fragile thread, breath nearly gone. Eyelids nearly shut, eyes fatigued, the world swaying at the edges of her awareness. Heart pounding in her throat, every breath a weighty effort.
Enid drew back, breathing slowly, mechanically adjusting her hoodie. The tension that had driven her actions eased, as if the body had found calm in Wednesday’s verbal confirmation. Wednesday’s chest rose and fell rapidly, hands trembling as she grasped for air, throat burning from sudden pressure and panic. A violent cough shook her, and finally, her hand went to her chest, then throat, pressing to steady her breathing.
“Damn it,” Enid muttered from Wednesday’s body, exhausted.
“What the hell is going on here? Why did you call her Wednesday?” Y/N muttered, confusion written all over her face as she glanced between Wednesday and Enid.
